Don’t tell me that you were born in January of ’99…
because I was, but I grew up on The Beatles, Scooby Doo, and Batman.

Close! I was born February 4th…almost 5th.
As far as TV shows go, I grew up on PBS kid shows, due to the lack of channels we had. My dad refused to pay anymore than he already was on the TV bill. My childhood involved
Cyberchase
Dragon Tales
Aurthur
Zoom (when I was really little)
also
The Simpsons

The Love Boat
Beverly Hillbillies
The Munsters

Speaking of The Muppet Show, this is one of my favorite pictures of George… I wish him and the rest of the boys would have made appearances on the show!

Very interesting Expert Texpert, it seems like a lot of the shows you watched as a kid were reruns. Also, why does it seem like no one here grew up in the 80’s or 90’s, as there’s no votes in either.
I was 80’s. Had no idea there was a vote.

You don’t just stop growing once you turn eighteen. What do you think is going to happen to you in the next two months that is going to suddenly make you fully grown? At eighteen years old the human brain is only around halfway through the process of brain development that starts with puberty. Technically you may be growing up for quite a while longer.

Doesn’t your brain finally give up growing at 30 or something, don’t quote me on this though, I dropped out of school at 16.

My prediction is that in 2 months, when I turn 18, I’ll wake up being able to grow a lot more than 20 hairs on my chin, and I will no longer look like a 12 year old. I will magically turn into an adult human being. Is that not how it works?
But to respond to your comment, I was talking about growing up in childhood. Obviously we are all still growing, but at 18 I’m no longer a child.

Doesn’t quite work like that, man. For me, I moved into my friends house when I was 17 and had various ways to get tobacco and alcohol, so my 18th birthday was just as special to me as my 7th birthday. For you, considering you’re not a high school dropout and you still live with your parents, it might be different for you than it was with me.

I wasn’t actually being serious. I’ve been told it’s just being another year older and nothing more. I’m not really expecting some big metamorphosis or something like that.

Sorry, but no, that’s not how it works. But if this makes you feel any better, when I was seventeen everybody thought I was thirteen or fourteen, but now that I’m nineteen I usually get about sixteen (except that one lady at Chili’s who thought I was twelve).

Don’t worry I don’t feel bad about looking like I’m 12. Sometimes I kinda wear it as a badge of honour. All I have to say to people that are 20 and look 12, is that now when you’re 60, you’ll look 30.

People tell me that I’ll be glad I look young when I’m older all the time, but just because I look young for my age now doesn’t mean I’ll look young for my age forever. My mom looked about fifteen when she was in her early to mid twenties, but now she’s forty and I’m not sure she looks much younger than her actual age anymore.

My dad is 60, and people are always surprised to hear that because he looks like he’s about 40ish. My dad is basically me with a mustache, so I’m sure that I’ll look young when I’m older.

Yes, I used to love watching reruns. I noticed the 80’s and 90’s kids are absent as well. Maybe fandom skips a decade?
I’m technically a 90’s kid, I just didn’t vote because I got hung up on the whole nostalgia thing.
