I just got a message on my iPod stating that I had to allow explicit content if I wanted to play take 7 of ‘Being For The Benefit of Mr. Kite’. a-hard-days-night-paul-10

Would you copy your birthday post song re-write over into the thread about July 6th 1957, @Eleanor Macca? I’d like to have it in that thread for others to see each year. Here’s an apple for your time apple01

I think it is fine to have it in both places. It’s really good!

Hahahahaha, I sent an email to some of my fellow librarians at OSU. One of them, who was on the program committee when I was the chair, replied that there had to be a Beatles song to go along with the content of the email subject. We found a few that fit. Guess I made a real impact using so many Beatles lyrics in my communications with that committee.

On another note, I hate it when I write an email and think I sent it but come back hours later to discover it is still in my draft folder.

Probably just a few days to promote the new film, @Ahhh Girl. ‘Fraid it’ll be long gone by October.

Thank goodness! Ghostbusters was the only movie I ever walked out of. It made me have nightmares. Don’t laugh. It really did.

Maybe with a little more maturity and world-wisdom, you would now be able to withstand the excruciating horror of the Stay Puft man.

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

The new Ghostbusters film looks appalling going by all the trailers I have seen and I love the first two.

Of course in some peoples eyes that now makes me a sexist masochist who only wants to see women tied to the kitchen sink and speaking only to agree with my always correct and superior man’s opinion.

We watched the original Ghost Busters last weekend in anticipation of the new one. Zag is optimistic – I am in @meanmistermustard ‘s camp. The trailers I’ve seen look awful.

With the sheer volume all of the books and stories ever written or told, why do producers keep remaking old movies? Is there anyone out there currently working on the re-re-re-remake of The Jungle Book? After all, the latest one is already three months old.

To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
