Another one of those frustrating nights where you dream a whole song into existence and then it evaporates upon your waking…

Joe4 was me, but not the other one. I made it for testing something or other.
The quotations thing has indeed changed, – it wasn’t my choice though.

Offline It would be nice if SimplePress would give site admins the ability to choose whether the whole post or only the recent additions are included in a quote. Surely they could give options. You might send that suggestion in to them, @Joe. This partial business makes conversations look looney.

I can see why they did it with some quotes being very long. And also when there is a mention in the post, the users will keep on mentioning that person every time the quote is quoted.
I was on another site where you can highlight the part of the post that you want to quote though that site uses phpBB and not simple press.

Offline I like the new quoting protocol. It saves me from having to delete all of the redundant stuff that doesn’t have to be re-quoted.

Offline I have a new theory. Paul inadvertently broke up The Beatles. He wrote the song Here, There And Everywhere and these lines in And I Love Her

As long as I
Have you near me”
Paul never knew John would take the messages of those songs to heart so very, very much and have Yoko near him everywhere…even in the studio. Wonder if he wishes he could take those songs back now.

Maybe it was really going downhill starting with If I Fell
“Love was more than just, holding hands” which is referencing I Wanna Hold Your Hand and how there is more to the world than just the Beatles.

Offline blockquote class=”spPostEmbedQuote” might be what makes the quotes delete the other quotes. I didn’t see it in some of my older posts that I checked.

Another one of those frustrating nights where you dream a whole song into existence and then it evaporates upon your waking…It was a great song too, sounds very like something off of New!
I feel your pain!
I`ve had quite a few beyond-awesome dreamed-up songs that disappeared, most notably a Led Zeppelin song with a totally killer bassline; another Led Zep song about a girl Robert met at a cafe that cheated on him (it kind of reminded me of Hey Hey What Can I Do and Poor Tom); and perhaps the strangest tune of all…
…a Beatles cover of Kashmir. 
But it was super catchy and upbeat like their early work! And John was on lead! 
Oh yeah, and not to forget that murdery The Wall tune.
