It updates once a day (probably at midnight, though I’m never online to find out).

Well, ok! But I’ll change it when I get tired of my current one, of course.

(Although, that may not happen until approximately 737372773 years from now because I’ve  NEVER been tired of Jimmy Page! Mwahahahaha! a-hard-days-night-john-6

Yeah, only about 800 posts to go. Soooooo around 10:34 tomorrow morning?

And for the record, the birthday girl has already left me in her wake in other ways – her drawing skills and guitar playing come to mind. I can’t do either. But that’s OK – I have other skills. a-hard-days-night-george-10

I just did a test to see how good my English-standard is (it’s set by a German company)…..it said I’m at B1 level!!

(Note a fluent English speaker i.e. what-I-thought-I-was would be a C1-C2).

Well I’m embarrassed now, apparently me no speak English good.

And I got a B2 in German and French, now I’m alright at the languages but when my 3rd and 4th language is better than my 1st, then there’s something wrong there.

But…it’s a technically a win against colonialism- although I bet if I did an Irish language test now it would say I’m at A1 level ahdn_paul_01

And is Irish not a variant of Gaelic? Like Irish Gaelic?

Irish Gaelic isn’t the name of the language.

Gaelic is the language group.

Irish is the name of the language.

Scottish Gaelic is often shortened is Gaelic that’s why a lot of people (I guess) think Irish is called Irish Gaelic.

The whole Gaelic language group started with Irish (it is believed) and then spread to Scotland and the Isle of Mann as people emigrated.

That’s why any speaker of Irish, Scottish Gaelic or Manx can understand the other two languages (not fluently but they could have a decent conversation).

Linguistic class is over.

I stocked every item of clothing I own that has pockets* with guitar picks, because never again do I want to be caught at the guitar shop without a single ruddy pick on me.  a-hard-days-night-paul-3

*Admittedly not as many as I’d like– why don’t people put pockets in skirts, for Pete’s sake?! pete-best

^ Yes, I think you meant to say ‘wear’, not ‘where’, but I know what you mean. a-hard-days-night-john-6

Anyway, you can always wear a denim skirt and pretend it’s a kilt– you’re Scottish, after all a-hard-days-night-george-10

If a dress, skirt, pants, or shorts doesn’t have pockets, I don’t buy it. Pockets are a must.

For the record, I have one denim skirt. It has pockets. I have one denim dress. It also has pockets. I need some new capris. I saw some at a store I liked, but then I discovered that they didn’t have pockets. I hung them back on the rack. I foiund some with pockets online. I hope I like them.
