As previously stated i’ve pretty much given up on the Even Easier Trivia thread as it regressed into stupid questions that had little to with Beatles history that would be normally asked in a quiz into stuff like “If Paul was an apple what lamppost would he lick?” and i cannot be bothered with that. Its fine if that’s what folk want, just not for me.

I personally prefer at least mock-serious questions, such as ‘What is the first song on Revolver ?’ Or ‘Where is Norwegian Wood ?’ (The latter has been used, I believe.)

Offline I’ve kinda given up on the “Name The Beatles Song…picture” game.
The idea of the game is awesome, but I get weary of clues that take 5,896,243 guesses (yes, I know there are only 200+ possible songs…and yet). This is usually because the answer of “Yellow Submarine ” has to be elicited from a picture of a crowded airport baggage claim area where someone in this picture, by God , is wearing yellow underwear…or some such nonsense.

Offline The Even Easier Trivia should be easy trivia questions with funny imaginative answers; whether it has returned to that or not I don’t know as I rarely read what is posted. If a question intriques me when I do I post.

Offline I echo SG’s sentiment in her statement above. A legit question that can be answered with a fun, interpretative, thoughtful answer is what is wanted in that game. If people don’t bother to put some thought into their answer – 
Putting the “solid” clue element into the Picture game is one step in the correct direction. Maybe we need to make some new rules for the game. A solid clue after the 7th wrong guess. If no one has it in 14 guess, the player tells us the answer. Or something like that. We’d just have to decide how to choose the next person to post a picture. I am sorry it has to come to this though due to the nature of some of the pictures.

Regarding Picture Quiz Thread
Why is 17 a Beatley number? The number of tracks on ‘Abbey Road ‘? 14 is the number of tracks on 6 of the first 7 UK albums.
I’d agree about solid clues. I am one responsible for making it difficult at times so apologies for that. Maybe also the picture should be a clear link so to avoid a picture of a banana being used and the song being ‘A Day In The Life ‘ as John ate one during the recording session.

Fair enough. Can’t say I have any thought connection of here (BBF-land) for either 9 or 17. Strange how number connections work. I cannot have 23 but 27 is fine as that’s how many tracks on ‘1’, same as 17 due to ‘Abbey Road ‘. Lyric-wise you could pick many number references out – 7 is the number counted up to in ‘You Never Give Me Your Money ‘.
