I just ordered a travel pass/card for Washington DC. It will go nicely in my growing collection. I have a London Oyster card, a Liverpool Walrus card, and a Hong Kong Octopus card (thanks to trcanberra and hongkonglady).
Does it have an interesting name as well?

The DC card is called SmarTrip.
@Little Piggy Dragonguy, these are reloadable cards that you use to pay for travel on public transportaion (subways, buses, etc.) in the area they cover. They fascinate me. I suppose if I lived in an area where I used public transportation all the time, the novelty of the cards and the system would wear off, but for now, I have quite the fetish for them.

Did your computer hiccup, @Randie, and double post this https://www.beatlesbible.com/f…..4/#p211331?
If so, reply here, and I’ll delete that 2nd post for you.
EDIT: I see you updated the post with different content.

Nah I raised tadpoles as a wee one as I’ve mentioned before. I just think it’s a tad boring but I’m not quite sure why…

That’s cool. My pre-school class had baby tadpoles and so did my second grade class. Tadpoles are super cute, especially when they have legs.

I have a question for you Forumpudlians. I went to a concert Friday night, lasted about 3 hours. I was pretty close to the speakers on one side. My right ear has been ringing since, two and a half days. Has faded significantly since day 1, but can still hear in silent rooms or going to sleep. I should’ve worn ear protection, but it’s too late.
I just want to ask you all if you’ve had similar experiences. What’s the longest a concert has caused ringing for you?
As a lover and creator of music, it’s driving me crazy.

I haven’t had Tinnitus as a result of a concert and haven’t had it for longer than a few minutes.

When I saw of Montreal back in September, I stood very near the speaker. For the entire show, my left ear was about one foot (roughly 30.5 cm) away from the left stage speaker with no ear protection.
I didn’t really have any ringing, but I was pretty near deaf in my left ear for a couple days.

Oops, I guess it’s time to come out of my closet…
I’m pretty sure I have Tinnitus.
There, I said it
I don’t care though, I just drown it out by listening to the music playing in my head After all, there could be something wrong with me.

If you’re being serious you should mind. Tinnitus can become a real annoyance.
Which is what’s worrying me. Just the few days with it have really bothered me and made me physically anxious. The first day, when it was the worst, it was very hard to concentrate on anything.
I have real respect for anyone who has to constantly deal with it, and hope my ringing will pass soon.
The friend I went with also still has ringing in one ear. So at least I know I’m not alone.
Lessen learned about earplugs though. Gotta protect your ears (and eyes, etc.) you only get one set!

I was watching a video of static on youtube and when I looked in the comments, some one said that they gained temporary relief from tinnitus after playing that video for an hour.
