Ladies and gentlemen may I present to ye Irish reporting.
I love the lad casually strolling in the background, taking no battering from the weather.
The background of that report is my whenever-I’m-in-Galway haunt, Salthill. There’s the Casino and the arcade behind her, there’s also a fabulous beach to the right of her.
Yeah, anyone who goes to Ireland on holiday, go to Galway for at least 2 days- it’s where ye get the proper ‘craic’, traditional stuff that you expect from Ireland- great pubs, great trad music and you hear Irish spoken everywhere, you’re also about a 30 minute drive away from ‘The Quiet Man’ country and the setting of one of my favourite postcards*- much better than ‘The Big Shmoke’ (sic)- Dublin (and in saying that, Dublin isn’t a bad place either- but don’t just stay there if you visit Ireland- go to the west and if you have time go to Kerry/Cork in the south or Belfast in the north).
