As a Quarry Man, the drunken Lennon got attracted to Paul McCartney for his resemblance to his American idol Elvis Presley and ability to imitate his singing voice.
At the Casbah, the Beatles front acted for the openly gay Little Richard whom Lennon worshipped like a hero. This eventually led into his bromance with McCartney whose existence is widely accepted and could be proven by the fact of mutual affection that they always shared a room during their tour days.
(snip) Epstein who gave the moptops the androgynous look was the gay business manager who signed up the Beatles as contract performer because of his attraction to Lennon.
I hadn’t heard about that Elvis part before. Is it true?
Do you think they had an “androgynous look”?

What the hell has that got to do with anything?
The Beatles didnt give a s**t if Little Richard was gay or not. They were huge fans of his because of the records he made.
I didnt bother reading the rest.

I made a thread about Paul’s Androgynouses so there was at least one person on Yahoo Answers who thought at least he was.

I’m watching TV, switching between the Cubs-Mets game and Storage Wars. Meanwhile, I’m on my smartphone switching between the Beatles Bible forum and looking at job listings on Indeed on another tab. I’m good at multitasking.
I'm Necko. I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.
I'm also ewe2 on weekends.
Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

That’s a good line for your résumé, @Necko .
As a White Sox fan, is there any love for the Cubbies? I’m a Yankees fan rooting for the Mets, so I was just wondering.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

To be honest, I probably would have rooted for them if they had made it to the World Series, but given that they probably won’t at this point, I’m rooting against them.
Even as a White Sox fan, I must admit that they had a pretty good team this year.

Things that Ringo isn’t thinking right now:
-“I should call up Pete Best to see if he wants to appear on my new album…”
-“I hate Skechers. I want some Reeboks.”
-“What if the Beatles NEVER EXISTED?!!?”
-“Who sang the Ahhhs in A Day In The Life ?”
-“It’s so cute and funny how Necko consistently spells my name wrong in the Beatles Trivia thread.”

Was watching a lovely video of some Scottish guy with a wonderful accent reviewing the Loch Lomond single malt Scotch whiskey (I amn’t an underage drinker, I swear… just watched it for his accent and the Tintin mention)… and I noticed he said ‘folk’ as our very own @meanmistermustard does. Now *puts on Southern American hat* Here In The South folks refer to people as folks, plural, with an S, all the time. But I ain’t never heard anyone saying *takes hat off* folk without the S referring to multiple folk.
Just another T”IITDTT”T thought.

Folks sounds wrong to me, in my head it also refers to your parents; folk seems more natural and correct. “All the folk fell over” – you wouldnt say “all the folks fell over”.

I put in my vote for folks. It sounds more natural to me. “All the folk fell over” sounds like an error.

So does this mean it can’t also sound like an error to my American ears? I’m sure if meanmistermustard teleported to random town America, some of the stuff that people were saying would sound like errors to his non-American ears.
