@meanmistermustardwoo-hoo!!!
I saw this when it was first announced, someone posted it here (maybe von bontee) and I have very strong reservations over it. The idea of Charlie Brown ending up with the pretty red head and believing in himself having overcome all his inner doubts and insecurities is the ideal Hollywood message but never a part of ‘Peanuts’. He always was crippled by his doubts and thats why folk rooted for him – they wanted him for once to achieve.
Plus in the comic strips Snoopy was incredible, i adore the character so much, but seeing him turned into a movie star nowadays makes me think that he’ll come across as beyond annoying in his conceitedness.
Schulz found and held a very fine balance in the comics with all the characters that goes against everything that is regarded as presentable in the US/UK entertainment world nowadays. And it looks odd not being 2D.

But wouldn’t that let him achieve.

Or course but it never seemed to happen for Charlie Brown. Its like with Daphne and Niles in the tv comedy ‘Frasier’, almost everyone was wanting them to get together but when they did the show was never as good again. Its getting the balance right.

That happens on House. Some times what the character wants is not what the audiences wants.

I had not considered that – and you are right – the Niles/Daphne chase was funnier and the show wasn’t nearly as funny afterward. Perhaps my “woo-hoo” was a bit premature. I’ll probably watch it eventually once it is on DVD or cable and hope for the best (worst?). We don’t go to the movies anymore – too many loudmouths.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Bill and Ben.
Unlike Lois and Clark I don’t recall Bill and Ben having an unresolved romantic tension which ruined the show when it was finally resolved; but then I was very young when I first saw the show so perhaps I didn’t recognise it.

You’ve got to watch between the lines – and the show itself, i’ve never seen it.

No idea about the banana but there are quite a few of you up there so huddle together and you’ll get some warmth. Just make sure you all keep changing around so the people on the outside dont freeze to death.

I was looking for something else and this came up in my Google search results.
It can’t be about me. I didn’t become the Fab Forum’s AG until a few years later.
I did go read the post.
