He fended off his IRA involvement…..Non-singing……His Shadow Chancellor with a ‘I’m sure he didn’t really mean it…….His Monarchy hatred…… with a reassuring calming wave of the hands and a what’s all the fuss about attitude……Tax-plans…..he kicked down the road….

On Trident he said ‘I’ll try to convince them, (his PLP) that the world would be a safer place without nuclear weapons…..(duh)….they are weapons of mass destruction you know…(duh)…….He went on They (PLP) are all signed up for nuclear disarmament anyway’………And so on. He didn’t mention that he’s for unilateral disarmament whereas what the PLP are signed up for is the VERY different notion of multilateral disarmament.
He said, no jobs from cancelling Trident will be lost…… we will transfer the workers to other forms of manufacturing and make even more jobs.
We’ll use all the money for health care.

In other words implausible…(plausible for some) bollox.

Neil Kinock kicked out the extreme left wing of the Labour party……..They are all flooding back 50,000 have joined since Corbyn’s election. Corbyn is basking in his mandate and the power that affords him to hang the threat of compulsory re-selection over the heads of his PLP if they get too uppity.

PLP= Parliamentary Labour Party
