I enjoyed an afternoon and evening at the Oklahoma State Fair. Good food. And I got a deck of cards with Beatles pictures on them. I have a story to tell about the class I taught this morning, but I’m too tired to write it out now. I’ll tell you all tomorrow.

Made me think of the old movie 🙂
Look forward to the story when the energy is back!

Well, the skies above my part of London seem pretty clear tonight. That is good as the UK (and other parts of Europe) are getting a rare Supermoon Lunar Eclipse. The Moon at its closest point to Earth, the Earth comes between the Moon and the Sun, the Moon turns red. It is also known as, for obvious reasons, a Blood Moon.
Blood Moons aren’t that rare, but a Supermoon Blood Moon is. There will not be another for 18 years.
The Moon will start turning red at around 1am, reaching it’s height at around 3am. I’ll be going out for a look (lucky I’m a night person). There’s a nice big park with a hill just around the corner. I’m going to walk up the hill to have a look at one of nature’s rare sights.
Anyone else going to be taking a look?
(You have to wonder what the ancestors thought of the sight before the science was understood. Much wailing and gnashing of teeth I should think!)

I’ll set the alarm. I have a lovely patio-window right next to my bed so I should (hopefully) only have to pull back the curtain, gaze at the wonders of nature, take a quick pic, upload it to my Instagram account and beg for likes* before heading back to the land of nod.
Plot Twist: I don’t even have an Instagram account
Plot Twist #2: I don’t sleep in the same room with my phone
Plot Twist #3: I never upload photos!

Just been out to check the Moon is visible (there’d be no point staying up and going out to see it if it ain’t visible!). It is. Not a great photo (I’m not good with my phone camera, and don’t know how to sharpen pictures or anything much) but it does give an idea of how bright the Moon is tonight.
Looking at that I doubt I’ll get a good sharp picture of the Blood Moon, but definitely staying awake to go out and take a look!

Imagine a world with Donald Trump as U.S. President and Jeremy Corbyn as U.K. Prime Minister.

Well, Corbyn seems to believe that America is totally responsible for many of the ills in the world, so if he were ever to make it to Prime Minister, whoever the American President, it would be a very different relationship between our countries. If it was The Donald (raped and f*cked to death by Mr. Garrison in last weeks South Park ), it’s a good guess our Governments wouldn’t be on the best of terms.
It’s hard to believe that America would be so stewpid as to Trump themselves though!

^ while the belief may be a little extreme I do have some sympathy with it – anyone who has a trade agreement with them pretty much needs to sign up for their entertainment and culture being shoved down their throats and the number of dictators they have supported over the years is outrageous. There is a lot of grass roots distrust or hatred of the USA out there nowadays as a result.
[EDIT] Oh, and just yesterday I had great difficulty trying to explain to my son why it was okay for the USA and its allies to invade Afghanistan but we boycotted the Moscow Olympics when the Soviets did it. I gave up on that one.

Corbyn won Parliament’s beard of the Year 5 times……….Trump has the hair thing going for him too.
They should open a Barbers together……..Corbyn, unlike Trump hasn’t really ever had a proper job or achieved anything……..but he could sweep-up and clean the toilets.
If we could find two more suitably hirsute politicians they can start a barbershop quartet.
I’ll be their agent now that guitar bands are no longer a thing. Remember you read it here first folks – The Cockroaches will be the next “big thing”.
