I have actually thought about making up cards to hand out. I think I might not put my avatar on there or my name. I still want to be somewhat anonymous.
Oh, all right. Could you at least keep the “fiftieth of a century” thing?

Mr. KiteI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Looks like something I should check out when I visit my mom in October.
The beginning of the article:
Owners Hope Beer Garden Draws New Tenant for Old Firehouse
In 1985, Ringo Starr recorded an album at legendary producer Chips Moman’s Three Alarm Studio in an old fire station at 200 Linden (now Dr. M.L.K. Jr. Ave.), but he later sued to prevent the album’s release, claiming he was drinking heavily when it was recorded.
The building where the “Lost Ringo Album,” as it’s been dubbed by Beatles fans, was recorded has sat empty in a prime location next door to the FedExForum for several years. But its current owners are hoping to bring new attention to the former firehouse-turned-recording-studio through a planned fall beer garden, …

In another thread, @Ahhh Girl described her recent attempt to proselytize and recruit another Beatle lover to the Forum. She wrote out “beatlesbible.com Fab Forum” on a piece of paper and handed it to a clerk who had expressed interest in Ahhh Girl’s Beatle paraphernalia. @meanmistermustard, in his charming way, posed a reasonable objection to impeding commerce in a check-out lane, observing that: “I’d have been spitting blood at you, especially if the line was long. Pay with a short sharp polite “thank you” and get out of the way.”I hate to see a Beatle-related problem without a solution, so I have created a business card for you, Ahhh Girl. This should reduce the time you will spend when you are spreading The Word about your obsession. BTW, you may want to change the style, but I recommend you don’t use the Mordacity font.
Brilliant – we could all use this as a template and add our own unique spin:
“trcanberra – looking nothing like Ringo for over half a century” … and so on!

So @Beatlebug; when you were doing the Math(s); and asked if I was nervous at the sound of your footsteps approaching from behind to knock me off the Top Posters list – did you check on any of the folks above me first?? 🙂

I found an awesome George demo of It Don’t Come Easy and I want to share it, but I have no idea where… If all else fails I’ll stick it in Fiendish Thingies. ???

Hey, @Ahhh Girl, did you learn anything today at your MRI, or is it too early to get any results?
Edit: oops, I just saw your comment in “In My Life .”
I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.
