And having seen some photos – I’m more into vegetables than ever. I’m trying to make sure my dinners have a few more added veggies!

Boo all you veggie-food haters.
I shall invite you over for a dinner party sometime and show you how good vegetarian/vegan food can taste (this coming from an omnivore).

I don’t hate veggie food….I just said that given the choice, I much prefer a burger made of meat versus veg only. I, too am an omnivore.

This.  Precisely.

I like to enjoy a salad from time to time (in between all my buffalo wings, steak, pepperoni pizza, and hot dogs).

Speaking of salad, I ordered a salad recently and they put corn in it.  That seems so odd to me.  I’d never heard of corn on a salad before this week.  I told my dad, and he said that he has heard of corn on salad, but doesn’t think it belongs.  I tend to agree.

Here’s a relevant song, which features Paul McCartney playing the celery.

Impossible To Derail indeed.

I'm Necko.  I'm like Ringo except I wear necklaces.

I'm also ewe2 on weekends.

Most likely to post things that make you go hmm... 2015, 2016, 2017.

Not liking a veggie hamburger is different to not eating a salad.

I’m noticing a pattern here with my inventory lists. Someone looted all our juvenile books about pirates.

I’ve had Cobb salads that had grilled corn mixed in – delicious.

Corn and sweet corn are the same thing @AppleScruffJunior. (At least, I think so!)

Been having corn in salads all my life. Definitely belongs, @Zig.

We’d call grilled corn barbecued corn on the cob, @meanmistermustard. But then I’m not sure if barbecuing has every really taken off in Scotland as it’s most popular form involves cooking outside on a sunny day, and those are rare in Scotland. You can achieve similar results using a griddle pan.

Grilled corn is sweet corn cooked on a grill. Quite simple, really.
This summer, we’ve been blessed with some of the sweetest corn I’ve ever had. There is a nearby farm that has a fruit/veg stand down the road from where we live. The corn is picked fresh every morning. I’ve never had better corn in all my life. I’m going to hate to see summer end.

Well he could have been talking about baby corn!

Anyways, I like corn in salad.

That and the comments about Scotland, sassy Ron Nasty!

I thought the forum was a bit dead for the past couple of days so it’s nice for there to be some kind of life as there is now.

BBQ’ing has taken off in Scotland. Anytime its above 12°c and folk are getting out the charcoal and petrol and burning sausages to resemble next time’s charcoal – its another way we risk dying from what we eat. We’re brilliant at that.

We had sun today and yesterday. We’re in the period of summer where it pours down throughout the night and is sunny during the day.

Scotland + Ireland= Basically the same country bar some cultural/history differences (obviously, although a lot of people here are of Scottish descent due to the Plantations and blah, blah, blah, history lecture, blah, blah blah)

So if mmm has posted a comment about the weather, you know what the weather is like in Ireland and vice versa (well isn’t that bloody convenient?!?).

Also once it hits 16°C, BOOM everyone is wearing t-shirts and shorts a-hard-days-night-paul-10 And there are mass exoduses to beaches.

Could well be, I think I might do some further research into SG’s activity and the liveliness of the forum.

Can anyone provide me with a study grant?

You have two weeks off before you’re back to school. No need for a grant.

Nothing less than an interactive PowerPoint presentation breaking down the operative uses of each regular forum user will suffice – and there must be 15 minute tea breaks ever 90 minutes.
