^ Wo yeah! Let’s pretend it’s actually possible to send weather to someone over 3,000 miles (4 km) away.
You’re only 4km away, eh? :O Sure I’ll just cycle over then!

Sounds good! I’ll put the kettle on and… hmm… think nine hours is enough time for me to bake biscuits?

Oh yeah, they call me the “Tour de France” at school- that’s why if you ever see me, I’m wearing a yellow jersey.

Over the Atlantic Ocean, no less!
Rain update: Still none. Looks all grey and ominous though. ASJ might have to cycle through the rain.

Day 1 Update: The Atlantic Ocean is far wider than I imagined it to be, seas are calm, rations faring well, have not hit seal yet.
Internet connection is surprisingly good in the ocean.

And you’re able to type while cycling the Atlantic? Impressive.
What sort of sandwiches would you prefer? I make an excellent peanut butter and cheese.

I’ve never had peanut butter before so I’ll have a bit of that then, you know “broaden my horizons”.
Does anyone know if I need a VISA to get in? Sure I’ll say I’m just a tourist anyways!

:O
I was kidding about the peanut butter and cheese, by the way… people generally have peanut butter with jam or jelly. (I mean, I eat PB and cheese, but I’m not people– I’m a person.) You don’t have peanut allergies, do you?

Not that I know of but I almost accidentally killed a person who did (I don’t think I’ll get into that story).

Lovely stuff, if you ever get into trouble with the police in Ireland, I’ll repay your favour
(So long as it’s petty, you aren’t getting away with murder or anything like…..well you wouldn’t, I’m not saying anything about me)

I’d do that for a Beatle… If I didn’t want to annoy the crap outta them.So I found this video on YouTube the other day:
Thought it was amazing, but didn’t do much other than take a screenshot so I’d remember his name.
Today on the YoubenTube there was a TED talk in my suggested videos about a one man band.
I didn’t even realize it was the same guy til he played his amazing rendition of Day Tripper again. His name is Tommy Emmanuel, he’s Australian, and he’s got a cool story and it was an interesting talk.
And, just in case you weren’t sure he was a badass:
If you watch any or all of those videos you won’t be disappointed.
What is the song between ‘While my guitar gently weep’ and ‘Day Tripper ‘ on 5:26 in Tommy Emmanuel Beatles Medley Oslo January 2012?
Just few bars, but the sound is very familiar.

I can’t wait for someone to post that stunning cover of Across The Universe by AC/DC.

There’s a lot of differences between British English and American….( you’ll know that from your spell-check)……We meet at the week end, they meet on the week end….We were at university they were incollege……..I’ve got to go now….. I have to go now….Burned,burnt…….smelt, smelled….dived, dove.
And words ……pants/underwear……bumbag/ fanny pack……rubber…. eraser….. ‘keep your pecker up’ would not be construed as polite encouragement in the US.
I’ve always found those differences interesting and fun. More include;
British / American
car park / parking lot
lift / elevator
flat / apartment
half four / four thirty
8 August / August 8th
What are some others?
PS – if you told me to “keep my pecker up”, I’d probably say “thank you”…no matter what it really means.
