Wow, he does sound good (despite the slight accent, and his voice works surprisingly well in Beatle imitation). Looks a little young for to have sang on Pepper though. 😉

Offline No idea where to put this. Thought it was a new book but its been out since July 2012 so who knows why its been focused on by Digital Music News but they have and the book is ‘The Beatles Extraordinary Plagiarists’ by Mr Edgar O. Cruz.
Not sure what to make of the book as all artists borrow from other artists however Cruz writes (according to DMN) that
“Out of the 213 officially released songs in Great Britain, the Beatles were able to pass their mostly rehashed material as unique and novel during the quartet’s lifespan,” Cruz asserts, while connecting a substantial number of Beatles songs back to other, previously-written songs.
“McCartney converted ‘Good Day Sunshine ’ from The Lovin’ Spoonfuls’ feel-good song, ‘Daydream.’”

Offline I read the link MMM…….Not a book I would buy.
The usual rubbish……White’s rip off black artists. If not for blacks we’d all still be singing ‘Greensleeves’ Lennon and McCartney didn’t have an original idea in their heads that can’t be traced back to a black share-cropper.
It’s true we all owe a debt to the early Black musicians but it’s where you draw the line.
It’s often said….”Where would the Beach Boys be without Chuck Berry. Not so often is it suggested ‘Good vibrations’ is an obvious Berry rip off.
The Beatles were keen to give credit where it was due and helped to push and popularise their black heroes…….And Porter, Berlin, Carmichael……
We know they nicked stuff…….Henry VIII was an inspiration. Fair dues to the Tudors.
