I am enjoying this “0% chance of rain” thunderstorm we are having. The lightning and thunder are constant (no breaks). Very strange.
Was it a 0% chance of rain alone? Did they say something like 100% chance of rain accompanied by lightning and thunder in the fine print?
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

I’m just thankful for the surprise. I like thunder and lightning. I’ll change my tune if I’m ever struck by lightning, but for now I like it.

Didn’t watch any of the festivals. My sister once accidentally stepped on a wasp nest (it was on the other side of fence she was climbing over) unleashing a full out wasp attack. She was taken to hospital and when put under a shower wasps came zooming out of her hair!! She was highly stung but fine thankfully.
I like bees, bees generally leave you alone. Wasps are evil in that they are looking for a fight.
Shame, both Rock Werchter and Glastonbury had some amazing performances!
Anyway:

I like thunder and lightning too, although preferably viewed from safe inside a building or vehicle.

There was a short news story on the Weather Channel over the weekend about some poor slob who was struck – not head on, glancing blows – by lightning twice. His descriptions of the two separate incidents went something like:
“The first time it happened, I was about 100 yards away from the strike and the current in the ground tickled me”
“This time, it struck a tree right next to me and threw me”
THIS TIME? REALLY? After the first time, there should never ever be a second time. At the first sign of rain and distant thunder, my ass is safely inside thank you very much. It’s not like he was out hiking near no shelter. He was in his own yard!! The tree he was standing next to that was struck was mere steps away from his front door!! What an idiot!!
Even funnier, his first name is…wait for it…

^ It could of been a sudden storm and when the first strike hit, he got confused and was running back when the second strike happens and then he made it back inside.
Lightning does strike in the same place twice.

BeatlebugI say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

The word phlegmatic was coined to describe my friend……A retired Headmaster and war hero.
We sat with our wives in his small Hampstead garden on a sunny afternoon with the sausages a’sizzle. Even now I noticed that although barefooted his shirt was crisp and his tie remained unloosened.
As he sat a wasp buzzed the table. He ignored it. We all took his lead. Unbothered by any of us the wasp grew more daring……Something on my friend’s tie must have attracted it and it settled there. My friend remained completely unperturbed ……. Looking down his nose he took hold of the bottom of his tie with one hand and with his other flicked at the wasp………………Unfortunately it’s trajectory took it straight into his mouth where it immediately stung him on his tongue…….Jumping up eyes bulging, shouting and spitting the wasp was ejected from his mouth….. followed by a set of dentures……….
The wasp fell to the grass and a crazy, toothless, screaming ex war hero saw his chance and took it…….A vengeful foot came down, stamping the wasp into the grass…..But then my friend was hopping on one leg ……………”The b*****d’s stung my foot” he spluttered!!
I’m afraid I wasn’t much help……..I’d fallen back off my chair laughing.

Wont it take more than a second to post your video so you’ll have lost the extra second when adding your video as you wouldnt be adding your video if you didnt have the extra second making the whole process pointless and futile?
I’ve already wasted it posting this stupid post.
