Wait …from high school? Ah, that's cool. I don't know many kids my age that like the Beatles besides one boy…sorta. He's the only one who recognized John Lennon on my book because he was born on 12/8.

Yeah he's the best. He's quite flamboyant. Yes I am! Very excited! I'm asking someone to go with me tomorrow. We'll see what he says. He's also a Beatles lover. but not quite a Beatlemaniac.
I don’t get how there can be any middle ground on this. Never have gotten that concept …

My friend was right, Mel Brooks movies are pretty good. And they do remind me slightly of Monty Python, but really nothing can ever beat Monty Python.
Nice, have you watched Blazing Saddles or Young Frankenstein yet? I'd take either over Monty Python, but that's just my opinion.

Happy St. Jordi Day!! Today, April 23rd, the world celebrates the International Day of the Book. This date was chosen because 2 of the greatest writers in history (or maybe the two greatest) died today: William Shakespeare and Miguel de Cervantes Saavedra.
In Spain there's a beautiful tradition, you get a rose and a book. I wish we had that tradition in my city.

I'm reading Sense and Sensibility by Jane Austen but in Spanish. I lost the copy I had in English.I want to finish it today.
I'm also reading Dune by Frank Herbert. Actually I should have read more these vacations. I might finish it this weekend.

Well, he's rather a…Led Zeppelin..erm..maniac? So that takes up his number 1 spot. But we went to Rain together and he knew all the songs, and has the records and stuff, and we can talk about them, so that gets him the title of Beatles-lover in my books.

Very cool, I wish that people would just go to the library in my city.
Anyone reading anything good right now? I'm reading Freud's The Interpretation of Dreams, pretty fascinating stuff.
I have a whole mess of books I'm waiting to read. I can only do one at a time. (I've seen people who can have 3 books or so going on at the same time. Not me!) Right now I am reading The Great Gatsby and I have Their Eyes Were watching God up next. I was reading Don Quixote, but lost my place in this 900 page book, so I guess I'll get back to that…whenever.

I don’t blame you with El Quijote. I had to read it in high school and it was just impossible. I think it was the only classic book I gave up.
Actually, I can’t read 2 books. I’m reading Sense and Sensibility as part of a group reading, I have to read a chapter per week but I got behind and I need to catch up today. I have to choose a quote for each chapter that’s why I’m writing down which quote I like and why. I have to read 15 chapters and so far I have read 4.
The one that I’m reading in daily basis is Dune, since I'm a fast reader I might finish it tomorrow. Once I’m done with it, The Beatles by Hunter Davis is next.

I finished reading A Tree Grows in Brooklyn a while ago. I really liked it! It was surprising and sad at parts, but I think it might be the only book that my grandmother and I have read (she read it when she was my age) and can talk about.
And… Happy Saint Jordi Day? There's not that many traditions in my city.

On books, I just bought the letters of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, author of Sherlock Holmes. I’ll post the review when I’m done.

I read that one! I liked it. I'm still making my way through Keith Richards' Life. It's taking me a little while because I always have to stop and listen to the songs he's talking about, or try out the little guitar lessons he puts in. Plus I was also reading The Handmaid's Tale for school. That was a little heavy, I didn't like the ending.
I already wrote the essay for it, and we're supposed to do a project on it, so I'm writing a song. Would anyone like to hear the first take? It's only the first verse and chorus, but I think it's coming along.
