It’s odd seeing notices that FileAnaithnid mentioned me in one post and Cailín Amaideach in another. I kept thinking, “who the hell is THAT?”. Imagine if it was a holiday commemorating someone who spoke Khoisan. We’d see things like…ClickClickClackCluck mentioned you in the post The “Incredibly Impossible to Derail This Thread” thread (Remove Notice)
Hey man, leave ClickClickClackCluck alone!

I know, I was just staving off any potential accusations of “Do you have a Southern drawl???” because I don’t, except occasionally as a sorta-joke, or if I’m around my extended relatives who do have accents… but plain American is reeeally boring. Anyway, I can’t complain. But @AppleScruffJunior , what does a leprechaun on helium sound like?
(Nice username, by the way. )
This:
Oh and go raibh maith agat
Really! I didn’t know leprechauns sang “Help !” when they were on helium. Oh, and what’s “raibh maith agat” mean?

It means ‘thank you’. I forgot ‘go’ is an English as well as an Irish word but in Irish it’s pronounced ‘guh’

I’ve got a bit of Irish heritage, but it’s way back, and well plastered over with Georgia.Hmm…Irish heritage…Georgia…first name Katie…
KATIE SCARLETT O’HARA! http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/S…..t_O%27Hara
Fascinating stuff. But I’m afraid you have it wrong. My first name is….
…not Katie.….private…. but you can’t see me, you can’t see MEEEE… but it’s…
“Cailin” is Irish for Girl. As in, a silly one. It’s Saint Patrick’s Day.
I live in North Carolina; my mother is Asian, and my dad is from Georgia of Irish/Scottish heritage. I’m pretty mixed up, so it’s no surprise that I haven’t an accent at all really, just plain (A.K.A boring) American. Oh, and I’m an Anglophile, which is why I spell things like “colour” and “realise” that way.
Edit: The person above me is the Katie around here.
Oh wait now I remember – you posted your disillusionment that ASJr’s name was Katie. Not your name.
Sorry, blame my imperfect memory. Sometimes it’s worse to get things partly correct than all wrong.
Actually, incredibly…I just remembered doing the exact same thing two years ago! Mistakenly thinking that @Egroeg Evoli’s name was Katie.

The whole forum is full of O-apostrophe responding to O-apostrophe. I’m one of the few who hasn’t done it, which is kind of ironic, given that I have an O-apostrophe last name in real life.

Which is why I translated my whole name, instead of O’-ing. Somehow the O’ seemed too silly for Silly Girl Cailín Amaideach. Er… take that back… well, Cailín Amaideach is just cooler. In my opinion.

Aww, thanks. I suppose my Paulvatar is rather serious-looking. But truly, I am a Silly Girl. Just look at the amount I use smileys, especially the Georgewink, which signifies tongue-in-cheek-ness.
About to reset my username so good night from Cailín Amaideach.

It’s alright, ‘Katie’ is such a great name that I’m not surprised that you believe other people are also called Katie.
Back to ‘Cailín Amaideach’ for a second, ‘amaideach’ can also mean stupid/ignorant as well as silly because Irish, derp.
