Actually, I'm off a week from school. Since Ottawa has two Universities (Ottawa U and Carleton), select students are recommended for inclusion. I'm taking a law course on defending a criminal case. Whether or not I post, and how much, will depend on how tired I am.

Only just heard that new Beavis and Butthead episodes will be coming out on MTV this summer. It will be a nice change from the crap MTV shows now. I loved that when we still had MTV2 and I would watch the reruns. One thing to look forward to this summer.

Speaking of that, I saw a South Park episode about Kenny's girlfriend and the Jonas Brothers. I'm not a big South Park fan, but I laughed a lot. It was hillarious.

God help me, but I loved that show.

Ah, South Park. Yet another weakness.

It's so nice to have short hair again. I was getting really sick of having all that thick hair on my neck. And speaking of golf I really need to get out and play a round of 9 holes and get ready for the season in July. I hope I can make the golf team this year, it would be nice.

I have just found a huge flaw in the movie, The Empire Strikes Back.
Well it really bugs me anyway. But how does Hans Solo go from having his
hands tied behind his back when he goes down to be frozen in carbonite to having his hands up in front of him? It's just completely
impossible and it really bugs me that they didn't check that. You can
very well see when he goes down that his hands are very much tied behind
his back. But when he comes up frozen in the carbonite his hands are up in front of him in a reaching out position. It's once again just not possible. I wish I could fix it.

Maybe there's an attendant down there who realizes that it's going to be very awkward for Han Solo and there won't be enough room in the little display case thingy, so he unties his hands. When the freezing process starts, Han throws his hands out in surprise.

But would there be enough room down there for an attendant? And if he works for Darth Vader, why would he care if Hans Solo was comfortable or not?

Maybe it was a droid, and it wasn't a comfort thing. Maybe his face would have stuck out and he would have his face exposed to the elements.

OK, I'm ashamed to be discussing Star Wars. It makes me feel geeky. I might end up like this:

Well, maybe not that one. I hate the prequels.

I think that’s called a continuity problem.
I used to watch the movie the Sandlot religiously when I was growing up, so much so that I spotted all of these errors, and that movie is littered with continuity problems because of the young actors. So now that movie makes me laugh in so many ways because it’s still a funny movie, at least to my very mature comedic standards, plus you have continuity problems every two minutes plus those actors are just so terrible as it is. Oh it’s funny, I wonder if any of those kids grew into adult actors or if that was their one shining moment.

Related: (sort of)

Don't you hate it when you watch a movie over and over again, and you get obsessed with it, and then after a while you're embarrassed to watch it?

You mean you’re embarassed of yourself or you’re embarassed to watch it in front of other people?
I would say my all time favorite movie, save your judgements, is the Jungle Book, which by the way has a killer soundtrack, and I’ve seen it about a gazillion times, and I’ve never been embarrased to watch it. But once I watched it with a (short lived) girlfriend who I could tell didn’t really like it and she was just humoring me, so I was a little embarrased then. Guess what ended our relationship?
‘Hey, you’re cool and all but you don’t like the Jungle Book, so I think it’s better if we both just went our seperate ways.’

Haha. You think we’re gonna judge you for that? I don’t think I’m alone in thinking that I would totally say the same thing if I dated someone who didn’t like The Beatles.

I wish the Beatles had voiced the vultures at the end of Jungle Book like they were supposed to.

I told her I didn’t

Thats exactly what it is. One of my best friends used to be in “The Biz” and it would be very hard to watch a movie with her. She was always pointing that stuff out. We'd be in the middle of a critical scene and she would blurt out, “how did that candle just get longer?” or, “It's evening for Christ's sake – how is getting brighter out?” or “Who the Hell is in charge of continuity?”

Mhhhh if you watch again the scene, Han's hands are at the front, not at the back. And if you look closely, the ugnaughts untied his hands just before he goes down. It seems that Han was held by the feet. It makes sense since you need the body to be still to carbonize it. I know Solo was just a test, but Vader was not going to take chances. After all he was after Luke.

Fun fact, you guys. You know how Harrison Ford is married to Calista Flockhart (Ally McBeal)? Well, her parents live down the street from my parents. My mom was in the neighborhood garden club with her mom for a while, and we went to a wine tasting at their house. (I was only like 15 at the time, but I still had wine. Heehee!) We’ve never met Calista or Harrison, but they did visit the city a couple years ago and went to one of the plays downtown. Apparently Mrs. Flockhart directed the play or was involved somehow. I think it was a fundraiser. Anyway, I get a thrill going home for the holidays now because I’m like “Harrison Ford has driven through this entrance! He’s driven past my house and [possibly] seen my childhood bedroom window!” It’s pretty cool.
