Well, if you’re going to focus on technicalities it will never get done ……

I got INFJ. It’s funny because it says this type makes less than one percent of the population and we already have two here.

Yes, it’s a bit daunting to hear it’s that rare a personality type.
That was part of why I posted the link. I wondered if this forum would attract more of a certain type.

Hey @trcanberra . Apparently you’re not the first one to come up with the Yellow Submarine car idea.

I find it really interesting that both partners in the Lennon-McCartney team are/were introverts.

Hm, I took it and got “The Mediator”, same as John…but I’m not in agreement with the conclusion in at least one category, maybe because some of those questions are phrased so vaguely. (Taking it too seriously, am I?)
GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.

Who knew this test was so old that Abraham Lincoln took it??

Fanfic writers, take note: I did a Google search specific to the site to see if any Beatle personalities had been pegged.
I found Paul (mentioned next to Michael Jackson): ISFP, “The Adventurer”
And it seems I found John, though he’s not mentioned in the current version. Looks like a cached version indicated he was INFP, “The Mediator”:
[…] Allan Poe, Vincent Van Gogh, Hans Christian Andersen, Homer, John Lennon , Johnny Depp, Heath Ledger, Andy Warhol
Nothing for George or Ringo.

No, I don’t think you are. There is an article I skimmed through for those who are unsure of the test results.

…and COME ON, no way in hell was John a “diplomat” within the Beatles! Unless that just means he was the main spokesperson.
That test seems to have been aimed entirely at corporate-types rather than artists or regular cogs anyways! Shouldn’t trust the science of psychoanalytical test that dates back to Victorian times anyways.
“The Mediator!”
EDIT: Oh wait, I didn’t realize that was Myers-Briggs and that it only dates back to the ’40s! (Lincoln??) I trust the science a bit more now. Still wish the questions were a bit less nebulous, though.

Are you kidding me?! Sir James McCartney, an introvert?! You must be talking about Paul McCartney. (*wink wink*)
Seriously though, I would never have guessed.
I took mine a while back, as part of a class I was doing. It said I was INFP– “The Dreamer”.

Thanks for posting that test, @parlance! Been curious about that for a while.
I got ISFP-A, the Adventurer. With company like Paul, Bob Dylan, and Micheal Jackson, I’m happy with the results! The description is really accurate. Happy being myself, let the past be the past, etc.
I’m gonna continue reading the description now!

Same as determining Edgar Allan Poe’s results. I guess just reading (or watching when available) bios and interviews.

Thanks!
I share my type with George. As well as some of the world’s most unsavory characters. It definitely shows there’s a shadow side to the type and what can go horribly wrong when you have Martin Luther King, Jr. and Ghandi on one end of the spectrum, and Hitler and bin Laden on the other.
But truth is, they all have their shadow sides. Ringo shares his with Mussolini and Idi Amin.
Poor Ringo being the only extrovert. No wonder he was the peacekeeper.
