Okay. I’ve rethought my schedule. I need more time in Liverpool. That’s all there is too it. I want to visit Brian’s and Stu’s graves. Both of those places will take some time to visit because they are a little bit out of the center of Liverpool. Seeing those is more of a priority for me than Hadrian’s Wall.

Seen one pile of old bricks, seen them all :)

trcanberra goes to Egypt: “Great Pyramid, my ass!”

Don’t tell her, but I was just trying to make AG feel a bit better about not seeing it!

I have zero idea how to do those yellow icons. Every piece of text fails to display them.

No idea myself. I’ve always thought you needed to download a program to your computer that carries them, and then you can use them. Being a dinosaur is sometimes assuming, sometimes annoying!

The Beatles ones are easy, @trcanberra. Look at the bottom of the reply panel (assuming on PC or laptop, can’t speak for mobile), you have four tabs/buttons on the left of the screen: “Smileys”, “Options”, “Attachments”, and “Poll”. Press the “Smileys” tab and it brings up a panel below the reply screen that shows all the Beatles Smileys, and you just choose the one you’d like to use at the point you want to insert in the message, press it, and it inserts.

Hope this helps!beatlemaniacs_02_gif

London has their Oyster card and Liverpool and its surrounding are about to get their electronic travel card. Can you guess what it is called?

I thought it was some kind of homage to Carroll’s The Walrus And The Carpenter

Forsan et haec olim meminisse juvabit” (“Perhaps one day it will be a pleasure to look back on even this”; Virgil, The Aeneid, Book 1, line 203, where Aeneas says this to his men after the shipwreck that put them on the shores of Africa)

Even if it is from the Beatles, it still is a homage to The Walrus And The Carpenter

How many choruses of I Am The Walrus before people are actually thrown off buses do you think? Because I would do that every time.
