Congrats on the 6000, @Starr Shine?! Amazing how far nonsense can take you!
I am slowly creeping up on @mithveaen while leaving @fabfouremily behind!
I have wondered if I have decent exit strategy for when I leave this forum because it’s got boring. Factoring in when I think you forumpudlians will start to bore me, I now have an exit strategy in place.

You scared me for a moment until I got the joke! And by that logic you hopefully won’t be leaving any time soon.
And it couldn’t get boring anyway, refer to the beginning of your post!

Ha ha – yes, I saw the news this morning and it floored me. How are we even allowed in? I know it is popular on TV here, but really!!

Only right they join in with punishing the world with cheesy pop crap. Tho its only a one off to celebrate the 60th anniversary of torture unless it wins.
The European Broadcasting Union said Australia had been given a wildcard for the final “to not reduce the chances” of the semi-final participants and because of the “one-off nature” of its participation.
Australia will be allowed to vote in both semi-finals, as well as the grand final. The possibility of allowing the public to have a 50% stake in the Australian vote through televoting is also being explored.
The other participating countries will be allowed to vote for the Australian entry – who has yet to be selected – however should their act win the contest, next year’s show will be held in a European city and Australia will be allowed to defend its title.

Maybe Kylie will do it, ooh a reunion with Jason Donovan. Or the casts of ‘Home and Away’ and ‘Neighbours’ lead a mass singalong. Is Mrs Mangle still alive?
Would be hilarious if Australia went on a mad winning spree and never left until banned.

What happens if they win though? The rule is that the winning country hosts the next competition, and they could argue for it. And now, from the Sydney Opera House, the 2016 EUROvision song contest…

In the quote above
However should their act win the contest, next year’s show will be held in a European city and Australia will be allowed to defend its title.
So it could be that its held in London and the Aussies are the defending champions.
