I’m not sure how these are related? I was there just over 7 years ago and it was one of the least attractive places I visited (yes, including Glasgow). The people I met were nice – they just live in a dump. And yes, I know it is getting better, but it still has a long way to go.

You don’t think that dismissing a whole city* as a ‘dump’ might offend those who were born and bred there? Especially when we seem to get it more than practically anywhere else I can think of, perhaps with the exception of Scotland (Glasgow in particular) which also seems to be brought up a lot by comedians for cheap laughs.
*a city which you have not been to since 2007/8

Offline My city constantly gets called a dump. And you know what? It is. There are some nice places here, but overall it’s pretty poor. Loads of thugs, hooligans, drugdealers, fights, empty buildings, pauperization etc. One of the districts here even was once featured on a list of worst deprived areas of the Netherlands!
The people are nice though. Well, some of them. Okay, a few. Oh nevermind.

I am not being serious. Some areas you really shouldn’t go to but many cities have that. Just dont go into a Rangers area with a Celtic scarf on (or vice versa) and you should be fine (tho best to be prepared to run very fast and have a very good hiding place to go to just in case).

Offline Every thread along with every post could get deleted.
Every member could get banned.
All the threads could get merged into one long thread.
We could all get a crap load of spam if all the spammers could post everything they wanted to post. 
@Joe could go insane dealing with the volume of emails he would get if eveyone one of you asked him as many questions as I do.
Yeah, that would be a nightmare glitch if it ever happened.

I don’t. No one has control over the physical character of the place where they happen to be born. A slum is a slum and a dump is a dump – if people live in one and are offended, well such is life. I still fail to see how disliking the prevalent physical characteristics of a place insults the inhabitants. There are some rivers I consider unhealthy polluted sludge, yet some people consider them holy; fine for them – they are still unhealthy polluted sludge.
