I wasn’t being serious. And don’t you remember my posts about fancy food at fancy prices? How about a sausage roll from Greggs and a can of irn bru from the newsagents around the corner as its 15p cheaper?

Just voted for the top2000, which is every year between the 26th of December and New Year’s Eve. The Beatles are always in there with about 60 songs.
Anyway, it was really hard, but this is my list. After voting I realized Dire Straits, Fleetwood Mac, The Doors, The Smiths, Bob Dylan, The Kinks and Blur didn’t make it, and my mom came up with gems like M*A*S*H’s Suicide is painless and Roger Daltrey’s Without Your Love. I also threw out Band On The Run , Something , Pink Floyd’s Echoes and David Bowie’s Heroes to replace it with something else.
Here it is:
– Meat Loaf-Paradise By The Dashboard Light
– Pink Floyd-Comfortably Numb
– Queen-Bohemian Rhapsody (this one is #1 every year)
– Simon & Garfunkel-The Sound Of Silence
– The Beach Boys –God Only Knows
– Imagine
– Oasis-Don’t Look Back In Anger
– Eric Clapton-Wonderful Tonight
– David Bowie-Life On Mars
– The Cure-A Forest
– The Rolling Stones-Satisfaction
– The Who-Baba O’ Riley
– Lou Reed-Perfect Day
– Radiohead-Street Spirit
– Blue Oyster Cult-Don’t Fear The Reaper
– Talking Heads-Once In A Lifetime
– Coldplay-Fix You
– Metallica-One

oudis, don’t laugh. The trip is in April. I like to do lots of advanced planning. It is part of the fun of the whole event for me. Just ask mja6758 and meanmistermustard how long I have been talking to them about this trip. I got some “flippin’ hecks” out of them for the trip being a year away when I first started talking about it.
Oh, I’m not laughing, @Ahhh Girl. It takes me three months at least to prepare a trip abroad…

I honestly don’t think it matters with the defenders, they are all at about the same level (and even if they are fit next week they won’t stay that way – check out Shaw yesterday). We need to buy 1 experienced player there in January just to marshall the younger players; McNair (particularly) and Blackett have real promise but need some assistance on-pitch for positioning etc.
I would like to see how we go if Falcao ever gets fit and picked and if LVG would pick a 4-3-1-2 with Di Maria as the 1 and Falcao and Rooney as the 2, with Blind, Herrera and anyone else as the 3. I think we could end up 3rd and challenge for 2nd if we could get that lot fit.
No chance you’ll get second, Man City will improve, even if it means sacking Pellegrini. The target for this season will probably be third with fourth a bare minimum, not that anyone will admit it (that is 3rd being the target).
LVG loves RVP and seems blinkered to how ineffective he’s been, Wilson has done more than RVP over the last few games. An injured Falcao would probably be more effective at the moment. I can see the 4-3-2-1, or something very similar, being the formation if more players are available but it seems more likely you’ll get more injuries, the worst being if De Gea gets injured. Without him in goal you’d be way down the table.
@Linde, is that top2000 some best ever songs chart? I have it in my head its only songs that were in the charts between 26th and 31 December.

It’s a bit large and normally the forum smiles for people are grey scale but I like it!
Maybe you can add it as a smile on your forum.

@Mr. Kite Too big. Needs to be at least halved in size. If you get it right @Joe might even use it, as you’ve managed to give “Patti” a kind of “we know what you mean” meaning on the forum!

That is better though all of the people smiles are black and white other than that it looks good.
How do you shrink the image without loosing the quality?

Exactly! She could easily fill that purpose. The closest thing we have to that is the wink.
I tried to scale it with HTML but it came out as the large image even though it look ed good in preview. And in my phone that first one I posted looks good.

I like it in color, but if Joe adds it, he’s obviously free to do whatever.

@Mr. Kite It’s still a little bigger than most single heads, but smaller than the “stay on topic!” smiley. Don’t see the colour as a complete no-no. Five of the current smileys are colour, and the majority of the b&w are from the b&w era of The Beatles.

I don’t know why the HTML didn’t work. I scaled it that way and it looked good in preview. If Joe adds it, it’ll work obviously, otherwise it was fun trying!
I don’t think colo(u)r would be a problem, but it should obviously be sized right.
