@parlance do you log on here in “stealth mode”? I rarely see your name in the “Currently Online: ” list, and yet your posts appear out of nowhere. It makes me laugh every time because it reminds me of “The Sidler” episode of Seinfeld.

This is so funny, because I have observed the same thing and remarked on it to myself (“Self, how can Parlance post all the time when she is never online?” Self: “dunno.”)  I even goaded @parlance into making a reply once and she did, but she was never shown as online, even as the post appeared.  She has obviously developed some kind of cloaking technology.  Perhaps not coincidentally, the U.S. military is reportedly close to achieving Parlance’s level of achievement: http://www.defenseone.com/tech…..aks/81772/.  Where does Parlance work?

parlance, Zig

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

Who knows when I’ll need that valuable skill?

Are you playing the guitar behind your head upside down? If so you could go to Veges once you master doing that while walking on a tight rope

Am I upside down or the guitar? The guitar kinda has to be if it’s behind me, so yes there, but I have a feeling you mean me… And no I’m not.

If I spoke prose you'd all find out, I don't know what I talk about.

Oh so no upside down tight rope guitar performances at the BB house?

My two cents worth: I wish the ability to hide wasn’t available. I really don’t like it. But, I know that feature won’t be disabled. So, I try to not think about it.

I’ve said it before, I don’t understand why anybody would want to join a forum like this and then hide their presence on it when they are posting. And, in the end, the only time you have to be logged in is when you’re posting, or responding to a PM. But different strokes for different folks, I suppose. This place would look very unappealing, especially to visitors, if we all hid when we were logged in.

This is what meanmistermusterd said here on the Candid Questions Thread about hiding your online status

meanmistermustard said

For me its that aspect of freedom, no hang-ups, no thinking someone knows i’m on again, just being free to come and go and post without anything. I’ve said this before. I dont know how to describe it so it makes sense but its great and i really enjoyed it.

If its not for you then fine but it is for others. Its not harming anyone if someone hides their status so i don’t see where fuss and bluster comes from.

If i wasn’t a mod my online status would be hidden. I prefer the feeling of coming and going without my name being displayed, the sense of freedom that it gives.

I don’t get why folk make an issue over it. Surely its what and whether or not they post not whether or not you can see their name displayed as being “currently online”. In my opinion its big whoop (that’s sarcasm if anyone doesnt get the tone) that 45 folk are currently online if they are not posting.

Has anyone else here downloaded the musify app? I did last night to see what it was like as its got good reviews and was surprised to find i can listen to a whole host of artists including the Beatles and solo Beatles. No idea how its allowed to stand as would have thought Apple would have been all over it.

What is it exactly, @meanmistermustard? Would it work on Windows XP (I’m a dinosaur, I know)

We were guff and deservedly lost. However it was a friendly so i’m not too bothered (try telling me that during the game). It was far more important that we won last Friday night. So disappointed but we are a far better side than we showed and i will forget about it in a day or two. And if it means that England go back to believing they are potential world champions until they come up against some real quality opposition and get severely humped again then that’s good reward. Any team that has Chris Smalling as an option in defence has got serious problems – just ask a Man U fan such as @trcanberra.

“Tablet”, “iPod”, “Android”… all Greek to me. As I said, I’m a dinosaur. But thanks for replying, @meanmistermustard.

There is a lot of truth in this – unfortunately.  For the moment he will have to do – I’m not sure we have 11 fit players for the upcoming game against Arsenal.
