@AppleScruffJunior, how do you play ‘Stitch and bitch’? I’ve heard of a variant of those words but it certainly isn’t in a game context, more a tv crime thriller.

You are knitting and talking about various topics, however we also do races (she always wins), deliberately dropping stitches and picking them up again (she wins in this as well) and knitting 10 rows to see who the fastest is (guess who is the winner?).

Yeah our house is mental craic altogether.

Some good news from the BBC: the number of giant tortoises on Espanola Island has risen from fifteen in the 1960’s to other a thousand today thanks to a reintroduction programme which began in 1973.

Loads of things-last year I knitted Mr. Bean’s Teddy for my Junior Cert Home Ec project. Mam used to make her own dresses and jumpers in college (interesting fact: she made her own wedding dress). I do alrightish scarves as well but toys and blankets are my favourite things to knit because I can give them to my cousins as presents. These days I don’t have a lot of time to knit but when I do it’s just practice squares so I don’t get rusty as I can’t really commit myself to anything at the moment.

Oh stop it you- I’ll get a big head I’m not that skilled at knitting just alright at it.

If you “didn’t get it” at the time, try it again- there are loads of videos on YouTube for beginner knitters and it’s good fun and a great stress relief. 

Also your username is adorable and it’s a synonym of my username!

I went to my ophthalmologist today to get my eyes assaulted tested. I’m now -1.75 instead of -1.5 (sad days). I had to get new glasses and yer wan who was trying to sell me them kept on trying to give me Buddy Holly glasses, despise the fact I have a round face which doesn’t go with square glasses! Also she gave me ‘Yoko Onoey’ glasses which were mank and are not practical at all- I have to be able to see through the glasses not have them clinging desperately off the end of my glasses. John’s ones aren’t “in” according to her- I couldn’t find a pair though they wouldn’t suit me anyways (see above). Now I have a pair of funky orange/purple (they sound disgusting but suit me) instead of my lovely blue ones   Ah well…

I also got eye-drops that dilated my pupils so I couldn’t see words or anything properly- my irises were like I was tripping balls! I looked like this for about 4 hours and I still look “off”.
