Now I want to see if I can go from wood to guitar. But it’ll be a while ’til I can get together money for tools and materials. Still seems like a fun project though!
Which do you Forumpudlians think would be a cooler build? A Strat style or a Les Paul style? Les Paul is harder as it generally needs an extra wood layer on top, but I have a Strat.
Ah, @Mr. Kite, great job. I couldn’t have done it myself (I have a Strat too). But next time go for the one you don’t have, the Les Paul. Good luck.

Since One Direction and Harry Styles came up, I need to mention this because it always blows my mind. I’m sorry if I mentioned it before I can’t remember…
Does anyone else see the resemblance with this guy to a young Mick Jagger?!
Here are one million examples:
Not a fan of the band (not my style, no pun intended) but Harry is a handsome young man, I must say! It seems so weird being attracted to a guy that was born before the 1950’s…
Yeah he does resemble Mick Jagger. My friends are crazy about 1d ESPECIALLY Harry Styles.
Talking about modern boy bands, there is this really cool one called 5 seconds of summer, whose lead drummer, Ashton Irwin, is born on 7th July! (For those of you who don’t know, 7th July happens to be Ringo’s birthday)
A Coincidence? I think not!

There is no defeating the owls – Simon’s efforts are futile.Yeah that kid upthread does bear a resemblance to Mick in some of those pics. My niece used to love One Direction, but I believe she has now switched allegiances. The word is she is now into something called 5 Seconds of Summer.
Every generation has their boy star or boy band. When I was a pre-teen, the girls went nuts over Bobby Sherman. Shows my age!
Ooh. I didn’t see that. 5 seconds of summer is my 5th fav band.

Just making sure I was clear enough, that’s a factory-built Strat that I took apart and put back together, didn’t build it from scratch. Haven’t been able to do that yet (don’t have tools or $ for it at moment), but I wanted to take this apart to prepare for building one soon.
I think (when I can do it) I’ll go for the Les Paul. It’ll give me some variety, and probably be more fun!

Was browsing through Etsy, and came across this doll that reminds me of Ringo. Makes me wonder if the creator could make a set of Beatley dolls.

More random browsing at Etsy – this hipster merman doll gives me the giggles. Especially with the iPhone attachment.

Looks like my generation will be the first to be able to tell their kids that their music sucks and be right about it!
In all seriousness, though, not all of today’s music sucks but that is a telling statistic. Could it be that there are not a whole lot of artisits releasing albums, but rather singles? Someone who is more into today’s stuff can answer that I suppose.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
