Personally, when I was still mja6758, I used to hate it when people shortened it to MJA. I was always, and said this to people, “It’s mja! If I’d wanted MJA I would’ve used that!”

Sorry bout that…I’m a chronic shortener: Annadog-without-the-40, MeanMM, etc. I’m always addressing people at work with just their first syllables too, like “Mar” and “Deb” and etc.

@Von Bontee Don’t get me wrong, VB. I have no problem with abbreviating usernames. I do it myself. mmm (meanmistermustard); AG (Ahhh Girl); AD40 (Annadog40); etc. I just find it curious that some choose to use capitals when there are none, and that’s what the user has chosen. Never mind when people refer to me as RN, and didn’t mind being mja. Me, myself and I hated it when someone put MJA though. There’s a discussion of that somewhere buried in a thread.
Also, having read so many of these threads, MMM will always be MeanMrsMustard to me.
It’s just one of my hang-ups!

I say in speeches that a plausible mission of artists is to make people appreciate being alive at least a little bit. I am then asked if I know of any artists who pulled that off. I reply, 'The Beatles did'.

I think this stems from the fact that names a proper nouns an proper nouns are capital and so are abbreviation like Ringo Starr becomes R.S.

The whole initial capitalisation doesn’t bother me. My favourite shorthand so far is mˆ3 for MeanMrsMustard.
And whilst the idea of having a thread dedicated in my honour is in some ways very appetising I would be concerned that certain threads would be the nominees.

I wish Oreos were the world’s most healthy food. They could be closely followed in nutrition and health benefits by M&Ms.Same, I eat the whole box. Well not literally, but I especially take six of them and let them soak in the milk. Then fish them out with a spoon.
I’m very similar, only I do one at a time. I lay the cookie ever so gently on top of the milk so that the top stays dry as it floats. Then, when the rest of the cookie gets heavy enough to make it start sinking, I spoon it out and eat it whole. That way, you have the wonderful sogginess of the milk soaked bottom layer mixed with the crunchy top portion. Is there any wrong way to eat an Oreo? I think not.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.
