Do you consider these two questions to be asking the same thing or do you see them quite differently? Would you give the same answer to both questions?
What is the best post-Beatles song by John Lennon ?
What is your favourite post-Beatles song by John Lennon ?
Very different. “Best” opens the door for much debate and sometimes arguments. “Favorite” is based on personal preference.
BTW, AG – favourite? When did you start spelling in the style of those in the UK? Do you also speak using their bloody (oh crap!) vernacular? I was gobsmacked (damn!) when I saw that. I couldn’t stop thinking about it as I got on the lift (son-of-a-bitch!) on the way to the loo (oh for Christ’s sake make it stop!).

By the way, when will a cure be discovered to the pandemic?

There has been much work on that by a very competent crack team of scientists
Seems appropriate since the pandemic was created by a team of scientists on crack.

My grandma is 85 and she loves the Beatles, always has.
My grandpa from my dad’s side is 94, no idea if he likes the Beatles as I haven’t seen him in 13 years. I’d have to ask my dad, but I think the answer is no.
Is it just me or is this forum dying out a bit?

Maybe that’s owing to the fact that most of us are now busy what with schools and unis having resumed?

I wasnt on for a while due to personal circumstances and came back to 54 unread threads so no idea.
The forum always goes thru busy and quiet times depending on the circumstances of those posting.

Today the Stray Cat’s t shirt I ordered finally got here. I was taking a picture of it to send to my friend, and, ironically, my own cat came over to inspect it. Once she had established it was not a threat, she started rolling on it. Then she got very offended when she realized I was taking pictures of her. I got on the computer, and she started doing that walk-across-the-keyboard thing, before she got on my lap and stared pointedly at me.

Your grandma sounds cool. Since we have so many young members, slow Forum participation was inevitable once school started in earnest. I think I mentioned it to someone a while back. @Ahhh Girl maybe? Happens every year.
Another factor is the “Thank” feature. We all used to comment on each others posts. Now, we lazily hit that damn icon.

@Zig, it was in a July 14th email. The sentence came in the email with the dog and purple sweater picture. I love that picture and the message you sent with it.
@Linde, what is it that you feel is missing from the forum? Is it the number of posts or the topics the posts are about? Quantity or quality? On another note, that was funny about your friend taking off her bra to get a picture with a B-word thing.

Must be just you
I have about the same number of unread posts every morning as I have had for a year or so, plus or minus a half-dozen.

This thread is temporarily slowing its pace; I’ve been looking forward to it passing the 500 page mark, but it seems to be inching along like a snail… I suppose I could post like 200 posts in the next few days…

Did I sleep with the BB forum again last night? I think I forgot to sign off again. As I was in the process of falling asleep last night, I remembered that I needed to email a student about a history book. I opened my browser which put me into the forum also, and I think I forgot to close out the forum tab.

Yes, I zapped the spam. The mod/admin team been doing a bit of that lately. I hope we catch each spam post before too many forumpudlians are bugged by them.
