Too much effort on my behalf and i wouldnt get to yell at the idiot who failed to fix it. I always feel bad dealing with customer services when company worker has made a huge balls-up of it as the poor sap who gets to answer your phone call isn’t the brain-dead moron who couldnt watch a blade of grass never mind deal with your probleem(s). Having said that at times you have to do a bit of raised voices to get past the company spiel?

Screw the audition @WETSRoosa – pass the doughnuts. Did we fail to mention the new guy buys the doughnuts?

I’m at the library, and until I can move into the apt to have proof of address, I can only take out two items at a time. If I have to leave one, which would you recommend?

I’d say leave Live At The BBC ; there’s some great stuff on there, but Anthology 3 has loads of cool outtakes and you’re more likely to hear something new. (I don’t even own Anth 3, but I’ve heard some of the tracks, it’s very cool.)
Of course, Anthology 3 also has a lot of goofiness, so I guess it depends on whether you want real, serious music (some of Anthology is like that, but all the music on Live… was actually intended for release.)

If having to leave one i’d erm…. take …. erm….
My laptop to the library and rip one to it right there.
Seriously, Live At The BBC . There is some damn good music on A3 and its well worth getting but taking into account the outfakes and horrible pointless edits (Not Guilty being the worst by far) LATBBC is my preference.

I could’ve taken both, but I figured I should get a book too considering I was at a library.
I went with Anthology 3 due to Bulldogs recommendation, it was all I saw in time, so Don’t Let Me Down !
@meanmistermustard, the laptop thing might work if I found a secluded corner, sadly, mine has major issues. I was leaning a bit towards LATBBC due to the stuff that’s not music, the little intro thing where they talk a bit. But had to make a split decision! I will definitely get that next!
Just in case you were wondering, the book I got was the Pattie Boyd “auto”-biography. I could’ve used @Ahhh Girl around as it was disorganized and wasn’t where the call number (right term?) said it should be!
Once I can get past the front cover (and the back… ) I’ll be reading that!

My dog has got very bad arthritis in one of his legs, its led to pretty much all the muscle wearing away so he can hardly walk and causes him pain. He’s on medication but anyone know a miracle cure, some potion or lotion that will mend it up within minutes so he can go back to annoying us by running across fields and disappearing?
And since we’re on the topic of Dogs, how’s Lily doing @Zig? Is she well on the way to recovery and back to her normal self?
My heart goes out to you. My old dog got arthritis. It is sad to see them wear down like that. If I had the miracle cure, I would FedEx you some overnight.
From what I read having your dog take a Glucosamine and Chondroitin Sulfate supplement can help. If you are already doing that if your dog is feeling pain in a spot you could put an ice pack or give your dog a massage to help ease pain and some places recommend aspirin for pain also.
Here are some massage techniques from youtube if you want to try that.

Early on you adopted a policy of reading thru the whole thread before posting in it? After reading thru this one you ditched said approach as life is way too short.
Its nice to see your first was a caring one. Says a lot about you.

The best thing is they took a knife and coated the sides of the glass with it, so after the drink was gone, you still had dessert.
On a related topic, I kind of wish Baskin Robbins had revived the Beatles Nut flavor this month. But maybe it was complete crap.

I’m with you there, and even if it was crap most of us would probably still eat it… I mean Beatles themed ice cream!
My next two posts inspired @WETSRoosa (Congrats on the roof!! ) to post a picture of hemorrhoid cream, along with other pictures that no longer seem to be available… (See page 299 for context, and 300 for comment on the cream [the only way to know since the pictures are gone])

My first post was probably a derail. That’s why I started this thread.
Something I heard on the radio the other day made me think of our Forum’s spoiler feature. One of the local morning shows is running a contest in which people call in and do 60 seconds of comedy. This one lady did her bit about growing up in a Jewish household and the asking of forgiveness during Yom Kippur. The first apology she made was “Mom, I’m sorry about yelling ‘spoiler alert’ when you told us grandma had only six months to live”. I wish I could share with you the rest of her bit, but I did not hear it from laughing so hard. Someone needs to invent a pause button for car radios.
