Good idea!

I was flipping through the Sirius XM channels and I found a children’s sing-along channel with popular songs. Do you know what was playing? Octopus’s Garden !!! It makes me mad because it means that no one takes Ringo’s stuff seriously!!!!! I know it sounds like a children’s song but you need to have Ringo respected as a writer!!! I do wish he would write more for his 40+ year solo career!!!

He did write a children’s book based on the song, so it makes sense.

I do know that. But if they would let him write more who knows what he would be writing? Instead of doing covers like It Don’t Come Easy and You’re Sixteen why won’t he do some more composing?

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

Who’s they? Ringo records what he wants. Songwriting has never been his strength, and he jokes in concert that only 3 people buy his albums. He’s doing it for the enjoyment of it.

So grandma eats the wolf? The woodsman is thinking, “It’s not in the script!” and grandma goes, “Forget the Script! We can do whatever we want!!!”

So, let me get it straight:

Into the Sky with Diamonds met WETSRoosa on the Fab Files radio show. Ahhh Girl hung out with Expert Texpert at the Paul concert. I’m sure that there have been several forumpudlian encounters in the past. However, I haven’t been involved in them. And unless somebody is able to come to Greene County, Indiana, I probably never will.

Edit: Wow I’m at 1200. Coming to get you, Emily!!!!

Crap! Just noticed I’ve passed @fabfouremily! Come back to us, beautiful lady!

I am looking forward to meeting @Ahhh Girl and @HeyTrud when they visit the UK next year.

Didn’t AG and @Expert Textpert go to a Ringo concert?

And we are bursting at the seams to meet you!

I hope we get to meet our @fabfouremily too.

Yep, Ex Tex and I went to the concert and to AHDN at the theater. We also played Beatles Trivia, went to a used records and books store, and ate some lovely meals out and about in the DFW area. The breakfast energy bar and the late night/bedtime hummus and chips snack were excellent too. He is a really cool dude.

Don’t forget I got to hang out with @parlance in L.A. That was a blast! Sorry I got our orders mixed up when the waiter brought them to the table :-) And the listening party! And the chair from Abbey Road studios!

I can’t wait to meet more of you.

x-posted from another thread:

“I am having to type “7D” about 150 times into the correct fields in this database. No, I can’t do them all at once. I wish I could. At least I’m not having to type “1D” blue-meanie

I’m glad!! If I had to do that on a Beatles forum, I would not want to be moderator!!! That would be sacriledge!!!

@Starr Shine?, our trip is earlier in the year. Hopefully there will be another opportunity for me to meet @AppleScruffJunior.

Question. I don’t want to clog up the “Your Favourite Bands (Other than the Beatles)” thread so I will ask here. I merged the two threads about this topic that AD40 pointed out. The other thread was titled “Favorite Non-Beatles Band?” Do you think we need a mash-up of the two titles to be the new thread title? Should I do this

Your Favourite/Favorite Bands (Other than the Beatles)

What way would you search for this using the forum search box?

I would search “Favorite”. I do like British pronounciation/spelling, but by pure instinct I will go to the American version “favorite”.

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.

My favourite band other than The Beatles? Rubber. I do like a good rubber band!

Is there a higher percentage of Americans or Britons? I think that may be another method of consensus.

Not wanting to derail this thread (ha ha ha ha ha), but I saw the Wikipedia artist for the instrumental song “Pepperland “. It’s a very short stub, and it’s not a good article. They only use one reference in the article. However, it is the reference to the Beatles Bible article!!! Other articles use the Beatles Bible as a reference! How do you feel Joe? Do you feel proud? I do!!!!1

By hook or by crook, I'll be last in this book.
