Oh sure, that’s easy. Personally I used to use Magix MP3 Maker’s music editor feature to alter the pitch of various things (with or without also changing the tempo proportionally) but there are others like Audacity.
(I’m glad you and Zig don’t hate me but it’s a BIG universe!)
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

So I went to see The Fault In Our Stars. AMAZING. Amazing!
Everyone started crying at one point and I didn’t really know what all the fuss was about, but after a while I felt my eyes getting all watery and later I was just bawling my eyes out, in silence of course, can’t have anyone hear me cry of course. Good film, nice story, not yer regular cancer teen story. Definitely deserves all the hype.

Glad you enjoyed it! (Not that I’ll be badgering my dad to let me see it anytime soon. )

I don’t think anyone here hates you! And we are a very small percentage of the universe, very small but a percentage all the same.
@Linde The writer seems to be a cool guy, so that’s probably why it’s good. Although not my kind of movie.

Thanks for the reassuring words @Mr. Kite but there are more than people in the universe.
YESTERDAY
I took my nice raincoat to work yesterday expecting rain. Not a drop! and I had to carry it home in the heat!
Also, I wasn’t looking and got on the wrong bus! Ended up miles from work – when I finally arrived, I was an hour-and-a-half late!
Also yesterday, my shoe started to fall apart! I need to either get some glue or a new pair! ARRGH MONDAYS!
And the forum wasn’t working properly today! (But it looks like Joe’s fixed it up nice since then so there’s that.)

I was talking to Von Bontee, we all hate you vonbontee!
But in all seriousness, that does seem to be some bad luck. Look on the bright side: at least you didn’t not take a raincoat and have it pour, you didn’t get fired for being late, and hopefully you can fix your shoe!
As long as your luck turns around… Otherwise we must direct you to the superstition thread and you need to think hard about all the black cats you’ve tripped over before falling into mirrors.

@vonbontee The Universe is a Bee-hatch some days, but other days it proves it ‘s you as much as we do!
I just had a nice surprise!
My interweb access is pay-as-you-go. I pay £20 for 3GB access. I’ve tried going easy today/playing-yesterday-on-guitar as I only had 25mb left and didn’t get paid until midnight (just over an hour ago), so was doing my best to string it out so that I could at least look in. Twenty minutes or so ago I checked to see how close I was to losing access, expecting to see maybe 6 or 7mb left. It came up 3.0GB. Don’t know where it came from, but 3 gigs for free!
Woo!
Definitely not complaining!

@vonbontee The new one was ordered Thursday night, so hopefully a day or two! The patch-up I did to try and help out with the lost “Beatles Dreams” thread has held up pretty well, and I’ve only had the one electric shock from it! (Not to say it didn’t scare the crap out of me when it happened! As I was sitting there clutching my little finger that had made the contact.)

Of course… Venting’s needed… why not?
And Nasty, small shocks are always scary, even when they don’t hurt!

An article on the rescue of Raju, an elephant rescued from a lifetime (thats 50 years) of cruelty at the hands of his owner (who i seriously hope experiences even just a fifth of the misery he put Raju thru) – before opening the link please be aware that a couple of the pictures and some of the details contained in the article you might find upsetting.

Yeah, shocks are bad, blahblahblah…and now back to me complaining some more!
I can’t find a CD I was playing just yesterday, and wanted to play again right now. You’d think I’d be more careful, since I only one the one CD!
(Von Bontee owns all the rest)
Horror of horrors…I fear I may have MISFILED it!

It was in between two others by the same artist. Right where I filed it. Where I thought I looked. Where I did in fact look. (I thought the spine was different, duh.)
