Never liked Scooby-Doo, even as a kid (around 1974-75 I would watch a total ripoff entitled “Goober and the Ghost Chasers” instead) but Shaggy was a great character and Kasem had a great voice indeed. And I used to appreciate the little bits of trivia he’d sprinkle into the pop chart countdown when I’d listen to “American Top 40” back around 1980 or so. And who could forget those hilarious outtake rants he went on about U2 (“These guys are from England and who gives a s**t?”) and dead dogs named Snuggles (“I want a goddam concerted effort to come out of a record that isn’t a f*****g uptempo record every time I do a goddam death dedication!”)
RIP dude, “keep your feet on the ground, and keep reaching for the stars”.
Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

Rest in peace Casey
I watched a lot of scooby doo as a kid
Originally Casey wanted to voice Fred and and Frank Walker wanted to voice Shaggy

I loved, and still love, Scooby, and Casey’s passing is very sad. We didn’t have cable when I was really young (there was no need for it) and had all the good, original episodes on VHS and would watch those over and over. Shaggy was the best character along with Scoob, and a big part of my childhood memories.

Tony Gwynn died. That made me really sad. Baseball legend, great guy too.
Don’t know if it was mentioned up thread (the comp-uter I’m on is really hard to navigate on), but Chuck Noll did too. Did so much for my hometown Steelers.

This is very sad news. I love baseball almost as much as the Beatles. Tony was one the all-time good guys. The game will miss him dearly. From Major league Baseball Commisioner Bud Selig:
“Major League Baseball today mourns the tragic loss of Tony Gwynn, the greatest (San Diego) Padre ever and one of the most accomplished hitters that our game has ever known, whose all-around excellence on the field was surpassed by his exuberant personality and genial disposition in life.”

A gentleman, a scholar, a winner. RIP, Chuck.

@Starr Shine? If you’re talking audio editing (you don’t say) many here use Audacity, which is a free download.

Depends on your budget. I used Adobe Premiere on the Appreciate video. But as a student right now, I get a discount on the Adobe Creative Suite.
