This has been mentioned before, but for a while now I’ve wondered what it would be like if the Beatles made songs called With The Beatles , Beatles For Sale , Rubber Soul, Revolver and Abbey Road , amongst other album names like Yesterday and Today.

Offline Lousy for most if not all. How do you write a song with a title like With The Beatles , Rubber Soul or Beatles For Sale and make it good? The lyrics would have been lame and probably end up feeling forced. An example of this would be Eight Arms To Hold You which was rejected on at least one ground of being horrid to write a song around.
I cant even see it for Revolver or Abbey Road .

Offline The Beatle video of the day is a segment from a documentary series called The 60s, the Beatles Decade on Swinging Britian.
During this segment, someone mentioned an old BBC April Fool’s prank, and I had to hunt it down. Apparently in 1957, spaghetti was still novel enough that you could convince people outside of Italy that it grew on trees.
