and thanks for that bit of info over on the news thread. I was wondering if it was just me who couldn’t find out if the Neil Young tribute would be on t.v.

Here’s a question for you clever, computer-savvy people out there. I have a gmail account. Stumbling around it looking for an address, I somehow managed to “archive” every communication after the 18th December. How the hell do I un-“archive” them!???! Or get access to them!???! Crap! Crap! Crap! Fecking barsteward thing! Don’t even know what I did!

You should have an “All Mail” option at the left, and they should be hiding there. You could click the ones you want back in their selection boxes and Move them back to the Inbox or wherever. I think ….

Thank you so much! It was buried in the drop, but I found it and can see them again. Un-“archiving” them I’m not sure about, tried a few things but none have worked yet. But at least I can see them now!

Last whinge about the weather
As befits the capital we will be the hottest major metropolitan centre in the country tomorrow – forecast to hit 40 again (104).
[EDIT] Wow – maybe in the world according to the forecasts unless I missed somewhere.

Stare at this and maybe that’ll help deal with the heatwave.

C’mon Djokovic, that court is UNSANITARY COOKING CONDITIONS!
… although if he could cook an egg, then he can surely make some really good bacon and hash browns, too. And we think tennis is all the man can do.

Says the former restaurant man. You know. Don’t you?
Those other menu items sound good, too, and it’s breakfast time for trcanberra and crew. But, he probably just wants a bowl of cold cereal in this heat wave.

Is that all??? When I lived in Arizona, there were days that I prayed for 104F. It would have been a welcome relief from 110 to 115F. The only saving grace was the lack of humidity. 110F isn’t so bad when the humidity level is only 10 to 20%. I guess it’s all relative.
In any event, trc, I wish you nothing but cool thoughts…
Hang in there.

The first time I went to visit family in Phoenix, it was about 104. Their a/c unit was broken. They said, “What’s the rush to get it fixed? The 110+ days haven’t hit yet.” Yuck. Yuck. Yuck.
Zig, I hope you or one of the mods gets on here quickly. Someone is putting their video up in loads of threads.

I have visions of a food inspector turning up and putting him in the slammer – there goes the Open

Ha ha – thanks. Yes, we have been up that way at times, but are usually lucky with humidity and overnight temps – so we usually get an hour or two in the morning when it is cooler. I was just amazed that this little fly speck I live in could be the hottest capital on the planet today – even if we don’t end up that way it quite surprised me.
