Oh, gosh, vonbontee. Thanks for reminding me of all that now.
*sighs*
Better get my crash helmet and body armor.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

Now I'm even more excited to see them. Especially since I'm Happy To Dance With You has to be one of my top 5 George songs that he did with The Beatles. A week can not go by more slowly now as I wait for Saturday to come. (But I have regional ISSMA for choir in the morning. Blah)

Well, I figured the Middle East. 🙂 I heard Dubai is really cool. Maybe not temperature-wise, but you know, quite modern and interesting.

It's very nice this time of the year, since the weather is so cool and going outdoors won't toast you 🙂
It must be interesting since a lot of people in the US and Europe know about it having the world's tallest tower, largest mall and all that jazz (They're quite fond of being the top in everything!), but this got the country in the news and that's the point I guess..

I'd quite like to visit the UAE. Unfortunately, I'd also like to visit England, Italy, France, the US, Japan, Greece, Germany and about a thousand other countries… I'll visit them all once I become a billionaire.
Also, I can't be the only one who thinks this, but when Paul sings “Day by day” in Jenny Wren, on the word By he sounds like Pooh Bear.
Oh that’s cool. I don’t think we’ve had any other posters from the middle east. Not to my knowledge anyway.
What’s the right word for people living in Dubai? Dubaians? Dubaies?

That would be Dubaians – This refers to the diverse population in this Emirate (Americans, Brits, Australians, South Africans, Lebanese, Indians.. etc.) and not to the locals, who are called Emiratis.
It's a nice place, but could definitely do with more Beatles fans 🙂

I hear you!!
we can always raise funds for a good cause, and that is for you guys to come here and get a taste of the East, and for me to have some Beatle-loving company

My group got a Gold at ISSMA choir solo and ensemble contest. The basic premisis of this thing is you sing a song (either as a soloist or in a group) and you get judge on it from a scale of 1-5 for certain things, 1 being the best you can get and 5 being the worst. And there are 4 different catagories for your final score (gold, silver, bronze, and participation) and you win a medel for whatever final score you get. Also your song is placed in a group ranked by level of difficulty. 5 being the easiest group you can enter, 1 being the hardest. And if you get a gold in a group 1 solo or ensemble you get to go to state. Mine was a group 3 ensemble, so we were judged in the middle.
And I see Rain in less than 8 hours!

Wow, that's awesome! What song did you sing?
Also, Australia's playing Japan in the Asian Cup Final at the moment. My heart stops whenever someone takes a shot…

Japan just won it 1-0. We outplayed them, but the defenders got mixed up and they scored. Ah well, there's next time.
That's why I don't watch soccer. Do you Aussies call it Football or soccer?
