Brb, moving countries.
Also, I'm not going to be on here from Sunday morning to Thursday night AEST (about Saturday night to Thursday morning in the US), because I'm going to be in Sydney. It's my first time ever on a plane, which is kinda sad. Hopefully we can save up and go to Japan in a year or two.
Hmm, I wonder if there are any Beatle related places in Sydney…

The great actor Pete Postlethwaiithe passed away. His work in “In the name of the father” is one of the best performances I've seen. Besides, he was in one of the best movies from 2010 : Inception.
I liked him. He played the role of Russell McKenzie in one of my favorite Australian films, “Strange Bedfellows”.
That movie was recently remade quite horribly here in the US. I forget the name of it but it starred Kevin James and Adam Sandler.
Mr. Postlethwaite will be missed.
To the fountain of perpetual mirth, let it roll for all its worth. And all the children boogie.

Well The Beatles visited Australia and there's a plaza where the crowd was larger than the one who received the Queen or something like that….

Never been on a plane, either. Not even out of the state!
I'd like to be, under the sea, in an octopus's garden, with you.

I think that was in Adelaide, though. They have a replica Cavern Club as well. Dammit, I'm going the wrong way

Just got back from Sydney! Phew, that was a long 5 days. Sydney's nice, but it's more for if you like surfing and beaches and stuff. I prefer Melbourne, cos that has all the culture, art, sport, fashion and food.
Anyway, while I was there, many Beatle related things happened.
– Saw Liverpool Street (shush, I know it's not directly related)
– Went to Ben Sherman (which is a clothing shop that's essentially a Beatles shrine. I bought a shirt from there)
– Saw someone in an Abbey Road shirt
– When we checked into our hotel room, I found Gideon's bible in one of the drawers
– Saw another person with an Abbey Road shirt
– Heard a woman singing Imagine on the street
– Saw George's Gretsch at a music store
– Heard Love Me Do playing in a restaurant
– There was a painting of Ringo with the quote “I love Beethoven, especially his poems”, in the aforementioned music store
– Saw someone in a With The Beatles shirt
– If you're still reading this, you get a cookie. Claim it by putting an apple in your post!
– I bought the remastered Band On The Run , Wings At The Speed Of Sound , Please Please Me and a German copy of Help ! on vinyl, and I nearly bought a Peruvian copy of A Hard Day's Night
– Got an Abbey Road poster for my wall
– Saw heaps of drawings of The Beatles that were for sale at a market
– Saw a movie, and one of the characters said something about Prudence, their dear friend.
That's off the top of my head, I'm sure I missed some.
And speaking of missing things, I forgot to go find P. Sherman, 42 Wallaby Way. :-
And yeah! I've had enough food to last me a lifetime.
EVERYTHING IS SO EXPENSIVE IN SYDNEY!
Gold Class cinema ticket in Melbourne – $30
Gold Class cinema ticket in Sydney – $70
Oh, and the air is so humid there, you don't breathe it, you drink it.
Anyway, I'm glad to be back! I'm sure you all missed me horribly.
Now I've got to catch up on the billions of posts that I missed. I have OPD: Obsessive Posting Disorder.

Pssst…Paulrus, Gideon's Bibles are found in quite a few (maybe not all, but many) hotel room nightstands.
I have this weird thing where I always have to look and see if there is one there whenever I stay at a hotel. 🙂
I forget which one, but there was this TV show where one of the characters was going to cheat on his wife or girlfriend, but everytime he went into a hotel room with her, seeing the Gideon's Bible stopped him, but made him move on to the next hotel, where the whole process would repeat. (the joke being that they are always there in the hotel room — but I have been in ones that didn't have them.)
I'm so glad to hear you had a good time, but that you like Melbourne better. 🙂 Only because my Aussie friends live in Melbourne, and that's where I'll travel to when I finally get over there.
