I'd really hate to derail this thread any farther but…

I'm thinking of dying my hair blond, what do you guys think?

Hmmm… It's kind of hard to tell, since we don't have any pictures of you, except for those of us on Facebook.

If I seem to act unkind, it's only me, it's not my mind that is confusing things.

That is true, I sadly don't know how to upload photos.

Well, I've seen a couple of pictures of you. I say go for it, but it might not fit your skin tone as well as your current dark hair.

Speaking of hair, a girl in my ward recently cut her hair to resemble a female moptop.

I don't know what your hair color normally is, but if you're going to dye it, I'd at least talk to a hair colorist first because you can really discolor or fry your hair if you don't do it correctly.

I remember wanting to go blonde just with hydrogen peroxide. My dad told me my hair would go straight orange. I tried rubbing some on my hair with a cotton ball just to see what if anything would happen. Nothing did (that I could see) so I just moved on past that idea.

Blonde's kind of tricky if you aren't already blonde, so just be careful.

I'd say even if you are a dirty blonde, don't go too extreme and follow all the instructions carefully! I remember when I was your age (ugh!) there was this product that dyed your hair and it lasted only through 8 washes. Maybe experiment with something like that first until you decide what hue you'd like and if you do it at home have a friend help out so everything is covered evenly and there are two minds on the clock.

How blonde are we thinking of? “Hey, everyone, I just dyed my hair!” or “HEY EVERYONE! I JUST DYED MY HAIR!”

Sure! I'm speaking as someone who held fast to the belief that I was “almost” a redhead and I could pull that off, no problem. (Um, not really well, actually!)

I'd see if there were any temp washes or dyes to play around with, and those couldn't be too expensive, and probably wouldn't have as many chemicals in them as the more permanent kinds and would fade out before your roots grew.

In my pointless search for cold-weather shoes before Thursday's trek, I found that DSW is selling a show that is called a Ringo Star (just the one r) boot:

In one of the toilets at school, amongst all the graffiti and DYLAN WAZ HERE, someone wrote 'Love one another', and someone else wrote 'George Harrison 's last words' underneath it.

I dunno why you'd put that in a toilet, of all places, but still, it was pretty cool to see.

I need some advice here:

I need to be out of my house at 4 a.m. tomorrow morning. It's now 7 p.m. here. I set my alarm for 2:45 (to compensate for the slow speed I am sure to be operating in tomorrow), but my bedtime is usually between 10 and 12. Is it even worth it to sleep tonight? I've heard something that multiples of 4 hours of sleep is the minimum ideal, and that if I got say 5 or 6 (or 3) I would be wrecked hopelessly tomorrow.

Do I stay up until 2 and try to sleep on the plane? Do I suck it up and go to bed when I feel tired? Any thoughts on the ideal number of hours of sleep one needs to get?
