Hey guys! Merry Christmas!

UGH! I’ve pretty much had it with Alexis. Hailey and I were having a conversation about the band and she overheard us, and then blurted out “I thought the only people who listen to The Beatles were hippies and crackheads. “> 🙁

Other than that, I’ve had a wonderful holiday season and I hope you had a wonderful one too;-)

Good Dog Nigel. Arf, Arf, he goes, a merry sight. Our little hairy friend. Arf, Arf, upon the lampost bright, arfing around the bend. Nice dog! Goo boy, waggie tail and beg. Clever Nigel, jump for joy
Because we're putting you to sleep at three of the clock, Nigel.

Hey guys! Belated Happy Crimble!

I just came back, I’ve been a little busy.

In other news I’m going to see the fab four on the 31st! Although there will be other tribute bands too…

Step on the gas and wipe that tear away.

Ah, the horrible Alexis again? She sounds like a total nightmare. You and Hailey should find some way to lure her into a cauldron and boil her. a-hard-days-night-george-10

"What happens to them?" insisted Milo.

"Oddly enough, they often grow ten times the size of everyone else," said Alec thoughtfully, "and I’ve heard that they walk among the stars."

I have seen the most DESPICABLE, truly horrid use of a Beatles/solo song in culture. A commercial for one of those “Help a child in Africa” deals, featuring Happy Christmas (War is Over). Now, I disnt realise African children were starving because of the lack of Yoko Ono support. Support the cause, yes. Don’t use a wildly inappropriate song – it’ll piss the hardcore more then endear them to the cause. Yoko, stop.

I gave up trying to understand or defend Yoko’s handling of John’s catalogue years ago. Basically anything goes for a buck or two and occassionally she’ll throw something out for free, usually Imagine . Allowing the use of Instant Karma for a car advert is way off base as is the excuse of keeping John and his music in the public eye. That really pissed me off.

But lets not forget it was Yoko who gave permission for Nike to use the beatles version of Revolution in their shoe advert so this type of thing is nothing new and it wouldnt surprise me to see Give Peace A Chance used for selling Tampons.

I just saw another commercial. Really, Yoko? Really?

In other news, I just bought The Concert for Bangladesh, Rock N’ Roll, and Magical Mystery Tour on vinyl at the “local” (about 20 minutes away by car – 40 by bus). So excited.

Ono is clueless. She is the international patron of Autism Speaks, which is a charity dedicated to eugenics.

I told her I didn’t

Well, I started school again today. Since we're studying controversial Olympiads this week, and today is Berlin 1936, my first period history teacher started off the new year, and the new semester, with a Nazi propaganda film viewing. paul-mccartney

Those things are really, really scary.

On a much more positive note,  I did see my best friend in Utah over the summer and it was amazing. heart

Well, how about a rewrite of A Day In The Life ? Free of Charge,
Band…….
I returned to work today, oh boy,
Having the time off was so great,
Spending it with Zag was a blast,
But now I’m back at the office,
And it sucks, but at least I’ve got the BB to help,
I’ve seen the boring desk work again,
And the boss is badgering me some more
But at last I get to see,
How it worked out at the peppers.
And it worked out rather great
With all the fun brought back
So it was a great event
To get me back into a great mood
So thank you, Beatles Bible.
*orchestra*
Woke up, cell out of bed,
Checked the BB once again
Made my way downstairs
And looked around
Noticing, I need to pick
Which Beatles album to play
Got to work, signed in again,
The boss approached, And I signed out
Ahhhhhh’s
I drove home again tonight,
4000 holes on the bloody interstate
Although they’re mostly on the way back,
I notice all the time
And then I really need to laugh,
And so I think backkkkkk
*Orchestra*

There is no “vonbontree” (lol!), yet Vonbontee and myself are the same person, yes.

Paul: Yeah well… first of all, we’re bringing out a ‘Stamp Out Detroit’ campaign.

…no we’re not! a-hard-days-night-paul-11

Also, mr. sun king, what possible objection could you have to “Happy Xmas” being used for that charitable ad campaign (which has been done for several years now)??  Unless Yoko’s actually charging money to allow the song to be used, which I highly doubt, as it would be pretty despicable indeed and a public relations disaster…

GEORGE: In fact, The Detroit Sound. JOHN: In fact, yes. GEORGE: In fact, yeah. Tamla-Motown artists are our favorites. The Miracles. JOHN: We like Marvin Gaye. GEORGE: The Impressions PAUL & GEORGE: Mary Wells. GEORGE: The Exciters. RINGO: Chuck Jackson. JOHN: To name but eighty.
