He's almost as old as I am…
Tell him happy (early) birthday from me! What's his name?
Also, I'm really sure I know your sig from somewhere. I think I've heard my sister play it before… Is it Regina Spektor by any chance?
Edit: I passed 500 posts without even noticing it… Ah well, onto 1000!
I know! I've only had him for 3 years, but I'm sure he's seen a lot so far in his life (though now mainly he keeps to lying under my bed and perching in cubby holes).
I'll let him know you said happy birthday. 🙂 His name is Mulder. His name was Luke in the shelter, but when I decided to adopt him the coordinator there told me he had been called Mulder before he came in. Being a rabid X-Files fan in high school, I nearly flipped out when I heard that. So I changed it back.
Yes, my signature is from a Regina Spektor song. 🙂 She is really incredible! I need to buy more of her CDs, and she's probably be good to see live, too!

Hey guys! I've just met Allan Albuquerque (now that's an awesome stage name) and he's a nice Beatle fan from Brazil. He and his pal Richard had just finished their album under the name The Glassbirds. You can download some of their songs in here. You can see the Beatles are a huge influence.

How many of you are traveling for Christmas? I know I've mentioned this a number of times, and sorry for sounding like a broken record, but in three days, I'm going to see my dad whom I haven't SEEN since 2003, and my friend's family whom I haven't seen since I was in high school. This is SUCH a HUGE deal for me.
My friend's insanely generous and I had no idea my dad was coming up, either (he lives in the South) so at this moment, I feel like things are coming into place for something. I'm not sure what, but I love it when these things happen.

My plans for the holidays are to double my numbers in the forum *enters evil laugh*

Thanks! I suppose being overseas from 2002 – 2007 would have a part in that! I'll tell you about that if you ever need to fall asleep. 🙂
I'd probably also do a lot of posting, Mith, if I had no plans! I'm already out of work for 2 weeks, so the board will probably be seeing a lot more of me until the new year, prattling on about whatever. I will die laughing if you do reach 3000 posts by the time I get back. 🙂

It's snowing so heavily here I can barely see the building across the road. Hope I don't get stuck in work. Loads of flights are grounded across the UK and it looks like the postal service is going to have a massive backlog of Christmas mail 🙁
Take care Joe. Say, if the snow gets heavier, do the offices close? I mean, do you have to go to work anyway?
If we can't get in, we can't get in. They're pretty understanding here – loads of people called in to say they couldn't make it. But the snow's OK today – the roads are mostly clear and the trains are running.
It's Christmas week so I'm turning up late and leaving early. There's hardly anyone's around so nobody really minds.
StarWisher – have an excellent Christmas.
Can buy me love! Please consider supporting the Beatles Bible on Amazon
Or buy my paperback/ebook! Riding So High – The Beatles and Drugs
Don't miss The Bowie Bible – now live!

Meee too! 🙂 Do you have any holiday plans, Skye?
Not really, just hanging out with friends and family. I have a half day at work today, and then I'm free until Monday. I need to find something fun to do. Any ideas?
Ad hoc, ad loc, and quid pro quo! So little time! So much to know!

That's nice! The advantage of being a teacher is that you have those days off, but you need to go to work, no matter what. Of course we don't have snow but sometimes the heavy rain makes you feel like staying at home.
I have to admit something : When I see the news that there's bad weather in England I go to Abbey Road Live Cam and check it there

Did you see the moon eclipse last night?
Agh, I wanted to, but the weather was still pretty bad last night. I tried watching it online through a video feed in Chile, but I swear the feed dropped out at the moment it happened. One moment the sun and moon are almost in alignment, and then a few minutes later, it's completely covered.
I wonder if they have a replay of it online somewhere (at the very least the 5 minutes before and after the alignment, anyways). Some of my friends elsewhere said it was quite incredible.
The pictures look incredible. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/…..tml#212892

mith – I would not have seen the eclipse last night, anyway – it snowed here as well, but nothing like Joe experienced. Glad to see you did not get stranded at the office, sir.
skye – hiking might be fun over your holiday weekend, if that's your kind of thing. There are tons of places to go in Arizona.
StarWisher – to where in the northeast are you travelling?

I'm gonna be in New Hamster (and whining like a baby cause California's spoiled me).
You're up in Maine, yeah?
Oh, and Joe: Thanks! I hope you have a great holiday as well!

I am – it's snowing lightly here so you should have a White X-mas while you are in New England.
I drove through NH last weekend on my way to visit my folks in upstate NY. The drive takes me through Exeter, Manchester, Bedford, Keene and across Vermont into NY. Do any of those cities sound familiar?

Indeed, I do, though when I tell people New Hampshire, they start calling it New Hamster within a few minutes. (It's a small state…) I'm just beating people to the inevitable punch.

There was a lunar eclipse last Night?
Lunar Eclipse that's the name. It doesn't help that in Spanish Moon is Luna.I can't figure out when to say Lunar and Moon.
Yeah, there was one and it was awesome. I stayed up until 1.30 to snap some pics, but I haven't figure out how to take long distance photos. I went to bed after the moon was covered. It was fantastic. I was in bed knitting a scarf with the TV on, and from time to time, I just slipped on my sandals, go outside my room and look up to the sky
