Unique how? Well, perhaps in many ways, but I’m thinking primarily this way: in terms of their amazingly mutating creativity.

As I get older I realise even more than ever how much The Beatles were lightning in a bottle. Nobody else comes close to their consistency and innovation. If someone disagreed with me I’d simply laugh and walk away.

Offline I saw Stop Making Sense, the Talking Heads film, in the cinema last night and was absolutely blown away. The remastered sound is incredible, and it truly is one of the best concert films I’ve ever seen. The energy and the staging was all so engaging, I couldn’t take my eyes off the screen. Thoroughly recommend checking out if it’s still on at a nearby cinema, or I’m sure there’ll be a Bluray release soon.

That’s awesome! Stop Making Sense is incredible, but I’ve only seen it on a computer screen (iirc). I’d love to see it in proper theater sound etc.

lmao.. i think this was BOA Louisville.. we made 13th and were 1/4 of a point out from finals.
since then the DC band has traveled to Olive Branch HS, Itawamba Community College, Grenada State Qualifications, and BOA Memphis.
this weekend will be state championships.

Offline -Maybe say you’d go as friends.
-Ask them on the spot to name 15 Beatles songs. If they get it right, maybe going with them wouldn’t be a disaster. You’d at least have something to talk about.
