Welcome back Fiddy! Hopefully Forumpool will liven up again a bit with your return!
Amen to this. Welcome back Fiddy!
I’d tried to make one of those grids months ago, 100 favourite pop/rock/soul LPs by 100 different performers, but couldn’t figure out how to save the image, nor satisfactorily arrange them by colours. In the end I just took a coupla snapshots for posterity

I ummed and I ahhed a bit about where to put this because it has a Beatles reference but it’s not really a Beatles artwork.
There is an anonymous Swedish arts collective known as Anonymouse that have been going since 2016, and they create tiny little shops and places of public congregation sized for, well… if you hadn’t got it from their name, mice, and they install them on the streets – mainly in Sweden, though at least one has appeared in London. They’ve done a restaurant, a fairground, you get the idea, and their latest is a record shop, Ricotta Records, that has appeared in Malmö. To give an idea of its size:
Now, how about a closer look, at mouse level, including inside the shop? See what references you can see…
Genius!!!!

I thought there were a few mouse-themed variations of albums on the shelves that you’d appreciate, @Beatlebug.

I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
He rode through the fields, so handsome and strong
His eyes was his tools and his smile was his gun
But all he had come for was having some fun
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
The hearts of the girls was to Hell, broken, sent
They all ran away so nobody would know
And left only men ’cause of Cotton-Eye Joe
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?
Where did you come from, Cotton-Eye Joe?
I’d been married a long time ago
Where did you come from, where did you go?

Love one another.

Are you being married off to a hillbilly, @50yearslate? Is that the real reason for your absence? We will come and rescue you from Cotton-Eye Joe. Do you need rescuing? Nod once for No, and twice for Yes. Two nods we’re all on our way.

400 years ago today the Mayflower set sail from Plymouth for the New World. Current status of that experiment, President Donald J. Trump.

On the plus side, the 400th Thanksgiving will be super epic, as it’ll most likely happen at the tail end of the pandemic (at least in the sense that the disease will no longer be a serious threat around this time), creating an unofficial closure to the pandemic and cementing Thanksgiving 2021 in history books for years to come.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

As much as everyone would like that to be the case, statistically I simply cannot see the US being at the point by February, let alone thanksgiving. It will definitely still be a serious threat, probably for everyone but definitely for the elderly.

I was referring to Thanksgiving of next year, as the 1st Thanksgiving happened in 1621.
I’m sorry for any misunderstanding there, especially considering that the virus will likely be at it’s worst around this Thanksgiving.

I think @50yearslate was suggesting that Thanksgiving 2021 was being optimistic, DL. Until there is a vaccine there’s a new normal.

I’m not sure about her but The Hole Got Fixed thought i was referring to Thanksgiving of this year.
However, i don’t think Thanksgiving 2021 being the around end of the pandemic (in the sense that it’ll no longer be the threat it is now) is an optimistic prediction, as it’s very similar to Faucci’s prediction and not that far off from the timeline of the Spanish Flu (which lasted for a little over 2 years).
