If you ever think you know someone who’s financially tight/cheap, a lad I live with has asked for €0.60/£0.52/$0.67 off me for washing-up liquid.
I jokingly inquired could I swap my payment and give an unused bottle of washing-up liquid in return. He said, “no as (he) can’t bring it to Frankfurt”.
Never mind I’m never in the bloody house to use the washing-up liquid!
I’ll be happy to be out of there come Wednesday.

Can buy a can of juice for 52p which could save him from thirst whilst travelling.

^You’re right mmm, he could buy one and a half Capri Suns.
Sucks to be him to get his 60c, he’s getting it in 5c, 2c and 1c coins (the latter 2 we don’t use in Ireland anymore so I want to be rid of them) and I don’t have any 10c or 20c coins.
He’ll regret not bringing the liquid as my chunk of change will probably weigh more.

There’s thunder and lightning outside, I think it’s going to turn into a proper thunder storm.
Thunder I can do (I’ve mentioned before I like going jogging when there’s thunder, my legs would probably fall off if I were to try it now though), with thunder storms I’m a little, cowardly child *hides under duvet*.

Hmmm. I’m going to have to devise some way of leaving subtle messages in my posts now to see if you pick up on it

Haven’t seen the film, but the new Lion King soundtrack is abysmal. Beyonce sounds horrible. They’ve totally lost the charm of the original soundtrack. Any hope of me seeing the movie has died.

@sir walter raleigh I read a review of it in the usually reserved Wall Street Journal that was headlined, ‘Disney’s Circle of Lifelessness’. Apparently, according to the article, it was visually splendid but otherwise very dead. You’re probably not missing anything.
Can we just talk about how no one has any imagination for original big-budget films these days? It’s all reboots of sequels of reboots and I am, to use the words of Internet culture, so over it. *flips nonexistent hair*

I’ve watched quite a chunk of the new Lion King (I was feeling a bit ill in my shift yesterday, so my manager told me to have a nap under the guise of checking on the screen ) … and I have to agree. Visuals were great, but the audio aspects of it were disappointing. I know Disney are committed to remaking the films at certain time intervals per Walt’s request, but I usually much prefer their newer films, like Moana, which I loved.

What are your thoughts on bands downtuning their older songs for live purposes. This happens a lot in metal but a good non-metal example is Jimi Hendrix tuning to Eb live. Sometimes i like it, other times not so much, i really think it depends on the band.
If you're reading this, you are looking for something to do.

Hell, I’m a Dylan fan. He’s always messing with his stuff live. Different tunings, new arrangements, new lyrics. He’ll even do it when it’s not what they’d rehearsed. One of my favourite stories is Dylan playing a festival in Spain, and Richard Thompson is gonna be the second acoustic on a few tracks – just him and Bob. Bob gets his acoustic, does an open strum, and launches into Boots of Spanish Leather. Thompson looks aghast as Bobby’s downtuned since their earlier rehearsal, and spends the first half of the song at the back of the stage desperately retuning…
That open strum is almost like a challenge, “I changed my mind, can you keep up?”
Good to see you back, @Dark Overlord. Have you a permission slip to explain your recent absence?
