You gotta love Radiohead.
Thom Yorke’s “minidisc archive” for the OK Computer-era was stolen last week. Demos, alternate takes, outtakes, unreleased songs. 18 hours of material.
The band were then contacted and a demand was made for $150,000 to prevent their release.
Instead of complaining – much – or ignoring it, we’re releasing all 18 hours on Bandcamp in aid of Extinction Rebellion.
For £18 you can find out if we should have paid that ransom.

LMAO
It’s available for the next 18 days, and, therefore, ever after!

Debating whether to pay the £18 or not.. That’s a lot of music, but there’s bound to be lots of great stuff in there. I’d be interested to hear them putting Paranoid Android together, but overall I wish the hackers had stolen the Kid A sessions instead
I've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

A few Kid A songs did come out of the OK Computer-era, @QuarryMan. Currently listening to a very nice full band slow version of Motion Picture Soundtrack.

Ooh great, that’s my favourite Kid A song! In fact, if I recall correctly, that song was written on the same day as ‘Creep’ several years earlier.

Okay, I have a question for the BeatlesBible community:
In a few months, I’m finally making my pilgrimage to England and I’m planning to explore Liverpool, London (to check out EMI), and possibly/hopefully stop in Germany to see Hamburg (). I’m ECSTATIC but I need some more ideas on where to go… do you guys have any advice?

I can help out with London, even offer a tour should it help (way more than just EMI in London and its environs – AG is yet to see it all, and she’s had three trips), and Liverpool. Lots of exciting things to see and do. PM me if I’m able to help…

I’ll probably be too early for you but I’d be able to meet up in Hamburg until like late July.
For Liverpool, if you’re not directly staying in the city centre (I was staying in Aigburth, down the road from Stu’s childhood home) taxis are the best way to get into the city, cost us about £5 one way and the bus would have cost £10+ for all of us. Don’t even think about renting a car unless you want to make day trips.

I saw that earlier today. I may pay for that, but not this week. I’ve been spending a little too much money on music this month.

If any Brit wants to use Uber Eats for the first time, I have a code that’ll get you £10 off an order of £15+.
Obviously, am currently not in UK or I would use it myself.
PM me for it, if anyone wants it.

Last night I dreamt I was in some kind of mass shooting I stayed down, tried to keep my sister safe*, woke up with my heart pounding, and then when I fell back asleep Joe Biden offered me a chance to run as a presidential candidacy. I took it with the general sentiment of ‘Well, sure, how could I say no, I’d make a better president than you, Joe! ‘
While I’m not a fan of Biden, neither would I presumptuously hold that I, as a 19-year-old kid who likes to play guitar and rant about sociopolitcal issues on occasion, would make a better president than an actual politician with a lifetime of experience (even if I think he’s not a particularly good one).
uggggh my brain is such a pLaCe
*priorities 1 and 2, in very close succession, as you can see — though I’d probably sacrifice priority 1 for priority 2 if I had to, the dream was not set up that way
