It’s great, Fiddy! A piece of BB history right there. Also, I’m an INFP too!

I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

How are your eyes, @ewe2 ? Any progress?
Hey, sorry this is late. Last week was a bit ugh and horrible people are still going to run the country today, so I still have my grumpy penguin hat on. The right eye, which was the site of the stroke I had, is definitely dead for all intents and purposes. It’s still painful but there won’t be any progress on that front right now; the docs want to prevent another stroke happening first and so they’ve been prodding and poking me and there will be further prodding and poking until they’re satisfied that my stroke risk is managed. I will be on various drugs for that indefinitely. They probably won’t operate on the blocked artery, the standard procedure is too difficult in my particular case. My GP warns me that I should be prepared to lose the eye, there probably isn’t any better way to fix the painful clot behind it anyway. For now I have to figure out coping strategies and get some visual aids to help my remaining eye which is fairly poor. New glasses will help, and a bigger monitor to make it easier to see larger type without sacrificing screen real estate. I don’t know what I’d do without my cat, she is an awesome buddy just by being a fesity tortie.
I just bought a nice new guitar reverb pedal, a digitech Polara. It will help me make nice noises.

Terrible. It’s like an Australian Trump only with less checks and balances. The guy is a serious egotist who is a true believer in the prosperity gospel and can basically take the credit for the result himself. So he’s going to be doubly off the chain. His whole campaign strategy was “don’t vote for the other guy”. So he and his party offer nothing new but glib soundbites. It’s hitting progressives pretty hard, there doesn’t seem to be any real alternative to further extremism. It’s hard to see how they could have been returned so strongly after all the damage incumbents have already done (particularly rural voters voting against their own interests); it seems things have to get really dire before they turn around. I don’t even think trade wars/recessions will change things either, there’s a blind spot, perhaps it’s generational, I just don’t know.

Sorry to hear that your right eye has pretty much gone, and I hope the doctors prevent the left eye being lost too.

Totally shocked.
Its also my worst nightmare. What ewe2 left out was that they also ran the worst scare campaign ever – making up multiple taxes that simply didn’t exist in the opposition’s policy list.
The next 3 years are crucial for the climate. Nothing will happen here. If you want to see the Great Barrier Reef, you MUST do it now otherwise you never will.
On the other hand, don’t. It’s in Queensland, where ScoMo won 58% of the vote…
My family and I are seriously considering moving to New Zealand.

Ah two you’s I get it lol 😀 Took me a second though. Thanks for everyone’s thoughts it’s much appreciated. And what Holey said, a lot of people are talking about New Zealand but it’s a bit small. Maybe Canada.
But let me just say, if you have bad headaches/migraines behind your eyes, please get checked out. We might have saved my eye if we’d known the true cause, we just thought the pain was “just” a migraine and not were really TIA (transient ischaemic attack). Stroke is a sneaky thing.
