^Where was she from? The accent sounds kind of Scottish to my ears, or maybe the west of England.
She was American. She would put on that accent when she was reading to us.

Happily, I have no recollections of WeepyC taking gratuitous potshots at my hockey team (that was Mr. SKCT).

Here’s one picture from the story
I deleted a very important file on my work computer. I’m panicking waiting to see if IT can recover it. Must look for more funny dog pictures to get through this wait.

Wow, never noticed that! Maybe I should just post the image instead. Though, Aladdin Björk looks more relaxed than excited.
As for Robert Plant, I can’t imagine his accent is that regional since the West Country/Brummy accent is appalling and sounds nothing like him.

BeatlebugI've been up on the mountain, and I've seen his wondrous grace,
I've sat there on the barstool and I've looked him in the face.
He seemed a little haggard, but it did not slow him down,
he was humming to the neon of the universal sound.

haha I thought of you when I saw the hockey bit. I seem to recall that once WeepyC posted in Things We Learned Today… about how ‘Canadians drink milk from bags???!?!! Easterners are weird. ‘ or something like that . . .

Awww no, I don’t think they’re that bad but Robert definitely has an almost Welsh lilt to his speech (he did go on holiday in Wales during his childhood, and later lived there for much of the ’70s). John Bonham grew up fairly nearby and sounds quite different to Robert, much more South of England with a slight Midlands lilt (it’s quite difficult to find audio of him talking outside of ‘We’vE DOnE fOUr alREaDY but nOw we’Re stEaDy and tHeN tHeY wENT…’ but that’s what I can glean from the approximately two and a half interviews of him on YouTube ). I hear Robert’s mother was Romanichal so maybe she had a different accent or something…?

Yeah, Bonzo seems to have been the most reclusive of them all as far as interviews are concerned. On accents, I don’t think I’ll be that much use since I live in the wrong part of the country, but I suppose it’s not uncommon for people to have accents rather different to their regional one, so Plant’s could have come from anywhere. Where I live, the regional accent is very gruff and can be hard to decipher when spoken by the farming folks, but I don’t sound anything like that even though I’ve lived here my whole life.

Yeah, that’s true.
I might add, she looks more pleased/enraptured than overexcited-to-the-point-of-wetting-herself as the does.

When you play drums as loudly as Bonzo, you don’t have to talk.

This reminded me of one of my favourite Björk pics which along with its caption I think aptly sums her up…

I mean, it won’t elicit that sort of response, but some people (myself included) do like them very much…
But I would say on the whole, no…
