Dunno for sure which thread may be more appropriate for this, so I’ll just post it here: I was going out to brunch with my great-uncle Ken yesterday, he’s 95 (!) and still quite active. And in the car, I switched the satellite radio from the Beatles station to the 1940s swing station, for his enjoyment. He asked what I was doing, I told him. And in his strained old-man voice, he had this to say: “The Beatles, those boys were geniuses! Those guys came from nowhere, Liverpool, and they had nothing. And look what they did!” 
It turns out he’d viewed a TV doc on the boys (possibly “8 Days a Week) a coupla years ago. I don’t know what his opinion of their music would’ve been at the time – probably the same as most of 1964’s 40-year-olds…

Here’s the weird dream I had:
Some kind of Bee Gees anniversary was going on and Barry Gibb had invited me to help him unveil a big light-up sign with their logo on it…in the middle of a field…late at night…and it was being televised on BBC 1. 
From what I remember I think it went pretty well, but my friend (who I don’t even think is a Bee Gees fan anyways) came along and was super jealous of me. He kept jumping in front the TV camera or something, which is very unlike of him.

Is it? I hadn’t read it.
Obviously there are nice parts as well but her relationship with Eric was just a train wreck. The latter part of the book is just heartbreak after death after addiction after death after addiction and I’m glad I’m almost done because it’s kind of a lot to handle.
