I tried to hold my rabbit for maybe twenty minutes and I am coated in rabbit fur. It is everywhere. It is on my clothes, it is in my mouth, it is in my nose, it is drifting in the air around me. Who knew one small bunny could make so much fur?
(i did, it’s nothing compared to what it’s like when she’s molting )

According to the old rhyme:
John Lennon was full of woe*.
Paul and George had far to go.
Ringo was born on the Sabbath day, that makes him bonny and blithe, and good and gay. (textbook usage of random synonyms to fill out a verse)
Yes, I am [not] doing maths homework and I am bored.
The whole reason I decided to look all this up was because I was listening to ‘Thursday’s Child’ by David Bowie (which I don’t particularly like but it was Bowie so I was listening to it anyway — thus is the extent of my whore-for-his-music-dom), and Bowie was born on a Wednesday, but I was born on a Thursday so there! And then of course I thought WHELL I must know what days our lads were.
MONDAY’S CHILD HAS LEARNED TO TIE HIS SHOELAAAACE
*If you use 24 February, then it’s ‘John and George are full of woe’. I’m not sure which is correcter in this case.

ASJ we now both have family in Ireland. My nephew is in his sophomore year at St. John’s University. For his entire second semester, he is studying at the school’s campuses in Ireland, France and Italy. I’m not sure of the excat timeline for each country, but he has been in Limerick since 15 January.
If he’s in Limerick University and is quite social then he’s probably met a lot of my friends who go there. I hope he’s having fun, and not finding it too wet and miserable! Winter in Ireland is not the most enjoyable thing.

I hate that the first post on the thousandth page is me talking about strawberries.
Au contraire. You’ve captured the very essence of this thread. Not unlike the TV series Seinfeld, it is a thread about nothing.
I can’t believe my baby is 8 years old and (as I write this) 1,002 pages long. It seems like only yesterday, we were talking about a recipe for grilled squab with prune glaze.
*sniff* They grow up so fast.

I used to like Thomas Jefferson. Now I hate him with a passion because I’m having to learn the stupid apportionment method he came up with. WHY

I think this is one of the cases in which ignorance is bliss. 😉
Annnnyway I just lost to my dad at Beatles Trivial Pursuit yet again. I just want to win one game, is that too much to ask?

Mary I is a nice college, I hope he’s making friends with all of the primary school teacher trainees there . I think it’s 76% girls to 24% lads, so if that’s his scene, I hope he’s having a good time.

If I’m not mistaken, I believe that was one of his first observations.

So that’s why you have won ‘Most Welcoming to New Folks’ so many years in a row.
Fiddy, ‘full of grace’ probably means spiritual grace, not necessarily physical.
But yeah, I like that Thursday is ambiguous enough that it could mean just about anything. Some say it means the child will go far in life, other think it means the child will have obstacles to overcome — probably it’s both. Doesn’t sound too bad really.

I was thinking the exact same thing.

Still don’t know if that applies to me…
And looking at Lady Madonna (by far a superior rhyme) my afternoon is never-ending. Looks like I’ll be having a long mid-life crisis folks

Wait ’til you, at least, get out of your teens before you start contemplating mid-life crisis’s, for feck sake!
Get out your teens and you’ll find there’s many crisis to get through before you earn your mid-life crisis. That’s the trouble with you young people, always looking to rush ahead and grab of that something you just haven’t earned it yet, baby!
See how you run!!!
This has been an advisory message from an ongoing mid-life crisis.
I thank you.

Lady Madonna has predicted these crises, therefore they must be true…
or maybe the afternoon will just drag along for a really long time…
or maybe it will never end at all and we’ll be stuck in this day forever!!!!
Actually that wouldn’t be that bad considering it’s a weekend… 😉
Actually, I know for a fact that the afternoon will last far longer than it should, because we’re going to some kind of Super Bowl viewing party and there is little in this world that is less entertaining to me than football.
