I have electric everything. Gas stoves scare me because I did not grow up with one. My power bill was $142 which is pretty good for May; however I expect it to go up in the summer. I pay monthly.

I have propane.
Same here. This is the first house we’ve owned that wasn’t heated by oil or electricity. The water is heated by the propane as well. Our electric bills are minuscule. We’ll see how that changes now that cooling season is here.

Offline For the first quarter of the year, my bills that match up to the ones you listed, trc, come to USD 1,239.81 / 1618.23 AUD .
My electric and water bills come monthly. My stove is electric. Electric bills this year: $99.20, $104.43, $124.98, $73.11. Water is about $65 per month.
I pay for propane only when it is needed. My water is heated with propane. The main heaters in my house are propane, but they need a little electricity for something – I don’t quite understand how they work.
Living out in a rural area means we aren’t on any city or town’s trash route. We pay a company to do trash pick up once a week. I pay it in one lump sum each year. My property taxes are paid once a year also. So for my quarterly calculation above I added in a quarter of each of those bills.

Offline Wow you have pretty cheap power bills. It’s only a dream for mine to get down to $75. I think the lowest I have ever gotten it like $125 or something. In the summer it hits around $200 + because of the air conditioner. Water is $61. It use be like $50 something.
