What do you do when you’re online and the forum falls asleep? (Besides leave)I go wandering through the dank back alleyways of Forumpool and find dusty old threads that no one has heard from since Nineteen Hundred And Eighty-Five and wake them up.
It happens quite often on the ‘graveyard’ shift down here; I catch up on old threads then go away and do something else – no website is active and interesting all the time.
Is that called “getting a life”? 🙂

I suspect that my answering those questions might make the most boring autobiography that anyone has seen.
I don’t think it is a silly exercise, I do like to think about my attitudes and behaviour and consider my impact on others. I think the ‘self’ is a bundle of beliefs and experiences that act differently in different situations. My definitive moment was coming to the conclusion that as far as I am concerned – if God exists I don’t much care for the state he (she / it) has left the world in. So I try to do my bit to make it a better place – maybe that’s what he (she / it) wanted all along.

It’s never a silly exercise. Introspection can change your world, because in a large sense it is your world. If you’re lucky, events can change your self-habits, and just being aware that your reactions are something that you’ve essentially invented for yourself or simply taken on from others is helpful.
People like to say you should believe in something bigger than yourself. If there’s no self, what is bigger?

Not at all. On the contrary, it’s a very good thing to try and know oneself, inside out, because if you don’t know yourself, than how are you to know anyone else?

Just be my self and be your self and I think it’s the best way to realize who you are and who we are
